He said that the marriage ended a year ago.

He wrote;
PUBLIC NOTICE
After 28 years of a deeply personal journey of growth, experience and reflection, I wish to announce, with a profound sense of sobriety and quiet resignation, that my marriage to KUNEMOFA ASU has come to an end.
Some chapters, however significant and memorable, eventually come to an end. I choose to close this chapter with grace, gratitude and dignity, while looking ahead to the possibilities of a new season.
For the avoidance of doubt, this marriage ended a year ago. I have deliberately chosen to make this announcement only now, after allowing time to bring the perspective, clarity and quiet acceptance that such a deeply personal transition deserves.

Lord have mercy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy dear, it sounds unreal ๐ฎ
DeleteGod help us in this institution of marriage. This is so sad.
ReplyDeleteIt is well!
ReplyDeletePEACE to both parties!
Oh No. The devil continue to be a liar. I hope the incoming queen didn't push you to do this
ReplyDeleteLife must go on.
ReplyDeleteNa Woooo
ReplyDeleteHello iya Boys
I am struggling to take same decision to walk away,
ReplyDeleteNa wa o;This issue of ending marriage is scary o.Just like that?
ReplyDeleteWhen God says: Wait; please wait. In an emotionally immature generation, we cannot marry on the same timeline as our emotionally mature parents - who were fighting to National independence in their 30s. So many of us are advanced in age and achievements, but not in emotions. This is the unfortunate reality and christians are not exempt.
ReplyDeletePerson marry at 26. E go come mature at 40. See confusion na! Especially for men. So please .... if God is making you wait: wait. You do not know what he is protecting you from. The heartache of divorce is not funny at all, especially when families and children are involved.
(S)he who has ears, hear ooooh.
Hmm, na wa. This is unfortunate, i remember years ago he said despite being a gospel singer, their faith was tried as it took a while for them to have their child. After all the trials and temptations, they still divorced. God please help your children.
ReplyDeleteWawu, after 28yrs ๐ฎ๐ฎ
ReplyDeleteSo sad ๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteLooks like Oga found another possibility queen to do another season with.
ReplyDeleteUmunwoke!!!๐
Stop please! ⛔
DeleteYou might be bearing false witness because you don't know what happened in their marriage.
After 28 years? Oh wow!
ReplyDeleteAfter 28 yrs? Wetin come remain?
ReplyDeleteVery admirable couple o ๐ฅบ
I'm very sure that at least a love child and side chicks are among the reasons for the breakage
ReplyDeleteShe found a younger blood..agbaya!
ReplyDeleteSometimes my funny imagination feels that educated people are supposed to be wiser in selecting the partner they'd want to spend the rest of their life with. I don't just understand how someone you were ones madly in love with would turn out to be someone you can't stay with anymore.
ReplyDeleteHow do you people change like this? Were the signs not there when they newly started the relationship?
The way I am currently scrutinizing... Eh!
Your questions are valid..
DeleteMy take:
1. Couples can, and do,, grow apart by subscribing to different ideologies based on education and exposure..
2. Christian couples must prepare for war in order to maintain their home. Unfortunately a lot of people are not interested in fighting to keep their home. They allow evil spirits to drive a wedge between them
My Story
My wife and I invested and sacrificed a lot to nurture our friendship from 1986 (we were teenagers) until 1994 when I got saved and God revealed to me that she was going to be my wife. (She was with me throughout the time we climbed a mountain together in a vision)
Please stay with me...
We upgraded our friendship of eight years In 1994 and planned our wedding for 1996 but family disagreements unexpectedly came up and the wedding was delayed for eight years.
After many years of unnecessary delay and living apart for ten years, we got married in 2004 and then....
....another round of sweet-bitter experience showed up. We began to fight DEMONS from unexpected quarters.
(I decided to share this on SDK because you, Slim Shaddy, is a believer in Christ)
Despite that both of us are sold out to the LORD and ministers with spiritual gifts, our relationship has been threatened several times due to reasons we cannot explain
After moments of squabbles I would recall the dream that prompted me to ask her out in 1994 and then resolve that my marriage nothing shall break my home. My wife is not aggressive or quick tempered but she cares so much about culture, traditions, and public opinion.
While her natural disposition is a big plus to keeping our union intact, I unapologetically reject her communal mentality. So we have found a way to manage our differences with prayers.
I would love to share some personal experiences to help married and singles with information but my wife, being a 100% Nigerian at heart frowns at my open book approach to life.
A word of Advice to Christians:
The advice below is predicated on the premise that couples go into marriage with no ulterior motives.
1. No matter how strongly in love you are with the man/woman, you'll definitely run out of wine - gba be.
2. Your spiritual maturity notwithstanding, demons will attack your marriage
3. Exposure to different people will play a big role in your relationship.
My Suggestions
1. Be intentional to keep your marriage intact. People, especially, men,, should stay away from marriage if they are not willing to be faithful to their spouse.
2. Limit your exposure to people.
3. Grow together.
4. Pray everyday to insane your marriage.
)My wife and I have concluded that our relationship can, and WILL, CRASH if we fail to pray. So we both invest at least 1 hour every night to pray for our union.
Typos and wrong tenses were not intentional. Phone battery fo glat...no time to p roof read later.
Wow! Thanks for the write-up. It means a lot.
DeleteMay God bless your marriage.
Delete@Slim Shaddy: You're welcome. Remain blessed.
