Italy Moves To Ban Burqa, Niqab In Schools Aand Limit Foreign Students Per Class
Italy is preparing a new policy that will ban face coverings such as burqas and niqabs in schools and introduce a cap on the number of foreign students allowed per class. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said the proposal would soon go before the Cabinet.
He stated that students must attend school with their faces uncovered and thatthat parents of foreign students who struggle with integration would be required to learn Italian. “You must go to school with your face uncovered, and no one can decide that a young woman must hide herself,” she said.
Although she did not reveal the exact cap, Meloni defended the measure, arguing that when too many children in a class cannot understand Italian, “that is no longer integration. It is neglect.”
Very good. If they can't adapt, let them go to any of the "stan" and "bad" ending countries and places. I don't even understand why countries built on strong Christianity from years ago allow them in. UK gone, France gone and people still welcome them.
Burqa/ Niqab(face) as far as I am concerned is a cultural form of dressing from the past,and I believe against the harsh elements of nature and patriarchy indoctrination. Nothing about Niqab/Burqa (covering of face) is mentioned anywhere in the Qura'n. If people choose to do so because of faith in islam that is upto them as people have differentways of dedications.. However, it is not required in the Qur'an for Muslim women to do so. Qur'an states women should cover their "khimar" ( adornments). Yes, cover your adornments.... I see some guy with his wife in Burqa, while he wears shorts with cuban cigar in his mouth and I just SMH. Were there socks and gloves in the prophets times? So why do people wear gloves and socks in addition to covering of face and say it is islamic?
Everybody's face should be uncovered, especially if they are working in service and facing customers. Everyone should be able to hear you clearly, especially folks with hearing loss who need to read lips. Immigrant children should be going to mandatory Saturday school to learn the language faster. Learning the language doesn't mean that xenophobia, racism, or ethnocentrism will not exist, it just takes some of the pressures off. I don't know why Italy would be the choice of anyone escaping to go to another nation, and why ppl think the country is so great to live in, for shopping yes, you want leather goods, clothing and sandals then go, but for living go somewhere else if you're not white.
