Later that night in Gwagwalada, around 9:40pm, another resident named Ibrahim heard a baby crying outside his gate. He took the baby and reported the matter to Gwagwalada Police Station.... Officers took her to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital for checks. She is also receiving care and will go to Social Welfare.
Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh confirmed both cases. The command thanks the residents who acted fast and is asking anyone with information about the mothers or families to come forward or contact the nearest police station.
Searching for them that what exactly?
How can you be looking for women that threw their kids away? you wanna return the kids to them? They will definitely throw them away again or possibly harm them
They should allow responsible couple adopt them.

ReplyDeletePerhaps look at how these incidents can be prevented in the first place. There is a social welfare office but the mothers likely did not know how to get help for their situation. We don’t even know if they are underage girls who were violated. We don’t know what led up to this but the agencies that can help ppl in need should be known to all. Too often ppl have no clue where to go for help in their town if they are in crisis. Let these social welfare agencies, charities and NGOs be visible and easily accessible. Even the police and fire station should be able to connect ppl in distress to social services.
