Actor Yul Edochie Tackles Pastor Enenche About His View On Traditional Practices

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has publicly disagreed with Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre. The actor said the pastor is giving people the wrong idea about African traditional practices.

Pastor Enenche shared a message from his sermon and warned Christians against mixing their faith with traditional worship. He described some African practices as dark and said people who go to church on Sunday but still visit traditional priests or send money for village festivals should not expect God’s blessing.

He also spoke against activities linked to occult practices.

Yul Edochie quoted the pastor’s post and replied directly. He wrote that he disagrees. “You’re misinforming the people,” he said. According to the actor, traditional practices are not the same as fetish or juju used to harm others. He stated that a true traditionalist does not deliberately hurt anyone.

Yul Edochie added that Africans worship the same God in different ways and believes many of today’s problems come from abandoning the traditional ways that once made African societies strong, instead of fully taking on foreign ways of life.

  2. What ever you worship and pour libration on becomes your God/god.
Before the Bible, people practiced what they believed in and it worked for them.

The Catholics have images all over the place, praying on/with them and it answers their prayers.

Some other religions have different images they pray with and it works for them.

Belief works like miracle, the OLD testament was more of traditional practices, yet u pray with it, the Catholics paint their status as a white man and beautify it, but the core traditionalist carve their IKENGA and Akwali omumu without beautifying them, yet they believe it answers them.

The Bible made it clear, the 10 commandments is same with the traditional commandments.
Believe whatever you want,so long as you are not harming anyone.

  5. Even if I was born 7000 years ago I could never get with the animal sacrificing. Then it moved from animals to children. The world has seen many things yes and humans came from utter darkness and are moving into holy light. As we move into light and into complete God conscious beings, meaning the minds and hearts of humans will be exactly like their Creator, all things connected to their dark consciousness must fall away for a brand new human to be born. There will be no place for any religion, traditionalist or otherwise. Pure and holy religious practice today is simply training the spirit in preparation for that ultimate end. It is part of the process but not the destination.
