Dutch Police Reportedly Shut Down Nigerian Wedding Reception Over Noise Pollution

Dutch police reportedly shut down a Nigerian wedding reception in the Netherlands after neighbours complained about loud music.

Video from the scene shows officers in high‑visibility jackets speaking with guests at the hall entrance. Guests in colourful gele and aso‑ebi outfits were asked to leave as police vehicles with flashing lights waited outside.

The lively celebration, typical of Nigerian weddings, drew noise complaints from nearby residents prompting police to end the event.

  1. Good move.. You can't go to people's country to start making noise. No be naija wey u go play music dey disturb people anyhow.

A church beside my house wakes me up very early on Saturdays and Sundays. Why? It's not good enough.
