Good Friends Spice Up Life

Good friends make life sweeter in ways money cannot buy. They add colour to ordinary days, turn quiet moments into laughter, and remind you that you are never walking alone. With the right people beside you, even the toughest seasons feel lighter because their presence brings comfort, joy and strength.
Real friends celebrate you, correct you with love, and stand by you when life gets noisy. They show up without being asked and stay even when things get messy. They make life richer, brighter and more meaningful.
Choose friends who add peace, not pressure. Choose people who lift your spirit, not drain it. Good friends truly spice up life.

This is for you!

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

My daughter is a born actress. She would stand in front of the mirror and rehearse every line and scene from a movie. I'm not exaggerating!
With an impeccable accent, she pays attention to every pause, action, and detail. She sings all the songs and observes every little detail in the movie.

She has said countless times that she would love to become an actress, but she's also an A student. And I don't mean just any A student; she's one of the top students in school.
She's exceptionally good at all her subjects. I want my daughter to pursue what she loves, but I'm also worried that becoming a doctor or surgeon might offer her a more secure path to success in life.
Honestly, I'd rather see her become a doctor or surgeon than an actress.
I don't know what the future holds, but I keep reminding her that if she ever decides to become an actress, she must first earn a degree and graduate as the best student in her class. What do you think about my view point?

Let her earn a degree first so that when acting does not pay, she can fall abck on something...Acting wey you no go fit collect script of your kpekus no do meet and greet with those that have the scripts?

TEACHER LIFE

There is this new child in my class. Her first morning, she came to school with an empty food flask, no water and no snacks. I called her mother.
“Ah! I forgot. Please help me buy school meal for her. I’ll pay you when I come to pick her.”
Normally, parents cannot buy school meals on credit. Only staff can do that. But no wahala, I paid.
Mummy came to pick her. “I forgot. I’ll pay you tomorrow morning.”Okay.
Next morning, the flask was empty again.I called.
“Ah, please help me pay for her food. I’ll pay you for yesterday and today.”Okay, no wahala.
Third day she forgot again. Fourth day.Same thing.
By the tenth day, I said, It have do. I called the mother severally. No answer.I checked the girl's lunch bag and found two Gala, one yoghurt drink and a cupcake.
I told her, “My dear, eat your snacks.”
That afternoon, I got a call from her father And he was shouting.
“Why didn't you buy food for my daughter?”
I changed it for him immediately.
“Sir, since your child resumed, I have been paying for her meals myself. I have called your wife several times this morning and she didn't pick up. Today, I checked her lunch bag and she had snacks, so I asked her to eat them.”
There was silence.“How much is the money? Send me your account number.”I sent my account number and the school's food account number.
And I added, “Sir, please, going forward, kindly send money for her meals directly to the school food account.”
The audacity, sha.

That silence might mean that the man gives the mum and she may be using it for something else and lied that she sent you man...money get embarrassed by such things...he acted on the lies she told him.....I am happy you got your money back, una eyes dey see something sha....

  10. Weekend wey go sweet, na from Friday we go know.
I always eat before going to any party make hunger no injure person, I even taught my husband to do same. I attend both church and reception, if it's traditional marriage, I attend the bride price paying inside the sitting room before the main party. So you can imagine going for a party from morning till afternoon/early hours of the evening.

5 days of total darkness in Edo State.

NFJ, let your daughter get her first degree first before venturing into acting/Nollywood.

Teach C kpele ooh. It's good you got your money back. I think that man has been giving his wife money for their kids lunch.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Stella, eating before leaving the house is actually a good habit, not a bad one. It shows you have self respect and self control. There is nothing worse than looking hungry or desperate at an event. By feeding your belly and your pocket first, you get to enjoy the party on your own terms. If the food comes, you eat it because you want to, not because you are starving.

Whenever I go to a party, I always make sure I have eaten and have enough money before leaving the house. I no dey leave house empty. If I like the food served at the party, I will eat it as per bonus nau, to wetin I eat from house come. If the food is unappealing, I simply decline. I have been a selective eater since childhood, but no matter what, I will never scramble for food.
