Musa was arrested by the Yobe State Police Command on January 4, 2024, after the incident at their residence in New Bra-Bra Housing Estate, Damaturu. He was subsequently charged with culpable homicide.
The couple was reportedly on the same bed when Mamman was attacked with a sharp object on the neck, causing severe bleeding that led to her death .....
Two years after the crime the presiding judge of High Court 1 held that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt and dismissed Musa's not-guilty plea.
The court also noted that the convict has the right to appeal within the legally stipulated time, failure of which will lead to full implementation of the sentence.
