According to how the story played out, she was last seen around Bonny Camp with her boyfriend, Derrick before she became incommunicado.
News of her disappearance spread quickly online. Many people became worried, especially after a voice note circulated in which a woman believed to be Evelyn could be heard begging a man believed to be the Derrick not to end their relationship
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu joined in raising the alarm publicly and travelled to Lagos, worked with the police, and appealed for help from people in the area. At one point, a body recovered near the lagoon caused more fear, but it was later confirmed that it was not Evelyn.
Harrison later confirmed that Evelyn is alive, home, and safe .
In a video she shared after returning, Evelyn apologised to her family and friends and said that she allowed her emotions to get the better of her.She says her, problems with Derrick started about a month earlier when he began giving her attitude.
Things got worse a day before she disappeared when a blog posted details about their relationship. Derrick accused her of being the one who sent the information to the blog and that was how they parted ways.....
She also spoke about dealing with the heartbreak on top of everything else she has been going through.

Always consider consider your family and friends, and even well-wishers who treasure you first, before you make any decision due to emotions, they are also important. And don't forget relationship stage is a decision making/vetting process not the final destination, so a man or woman can decide to leave at anytime if they don't see you as the right one for them and it's okay. People will only stay with you because you tick their boxes and not out of pity or force. Knowing this would save you a lot unnecessary stress.
