Senator Oshiomhole Accuses Works Minister Umahi Of Bias In Road Project Funding

Senator Adams Oshiomhole (Edo North) has accused Minister of Works David Umahi of bias in how federal road project funds are being allocated.


Speaking during a podcast interview, he revisited his earlier clash with Umahi over the Ministry’s budget proposals.
Oshiomhole said the Federal Government should prioritise rehabilitating the many terrible roads already existing instead of awarding fresh contracts. 
He alleged that despite approving about 20 new roads three weeks ago, the Ministry has failed to include critical Edo–Delta routes in the national budget for the past three years.
He added that it took President Bola Tinubu’s directive and tax‑credit intervention for those roads to even get attention.
Oshiomhole is now calling on the Senate leadership to urge Umahi to adopt a more balanced, national outlook in road projects.
