Singer Rema Says He Keeps His Wealth Quiet To Avoid Pressuring Young People

Nigerian singer Rema says he stays low key with his success because many young people look up to him and he does not want anyone to feel rushed or pressured about their own journey.


The twenty six year old told Jam FM that some youths already deal with stress from parents who push them into courses they do not like just to secure good paying jobs. He said this is why he keeps his lifestyle simple, prefers streetwear to heavy designer outfits and only considers his chains and watches a bit flashy.

Rema also revealed that he bought a house in Lagos without posting it online and that most people only found out much later. He said he thinks about the young ones who compare themselves to celebrities their age and tries not to add to that pressure.
