I know it's been a very long time, and honestly, I don't even know where to begin, but I'll try.
First, I don't even know if this message will get to you, but if it does, I want to sincerely apologise for everything that happened between us.
Looking back, I realise how wrong I was, and I am deeply sorry. You had been of help to me from my school days, and I will never forget that. When I eventually graduated and got a job in the banking industry, the demands of the job, especially working in such a busy branch, took a huge toll on me. Somewhere along the way, I stopped keeping up with your blog, and even failed to show you the appreciation you deserved for all you had done for me.
But the truth is, being busy with work was never an excuse for my actions. I should have done better. I should have made the effort to stay connected and, above all, acknowledged and appreciated the person who had been there for me long before I got that job.
I know I hurt you, and I take responsibility for that. I was wrong not to reach out, and I was wrong to let so much time pass without trying to make things right. For that, I am truly sorry.
The truth is, I never forgot you or the role you played in my life. I was deeply ashamed of myself and didn't know how to approach you after all these years.
I know that saying "I'm sorry" now cannot erase what happened, and I don't expect this message to change everything overnight. I only hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
If you would allow me the opportunity, I would genuinely love to make amends.
Thank you for everything you did for me, even during the days when I probably didn't appreciate it as much as I should have.

I tried ignoring it but lately my spirit became restless and I made a decision to stop sleeping with him. This decision was not easy cos we are trying to conceive. I finally mustered the courage to go for tests for STIs and STDs. Thank God, the test results for HIV and Hepatitis came out negative. I'm choosing to protect myself. No more fear. If we had children, I would have simply stopped sleeping with him. I'm choosing to protect myself now. I intend to get a vaccine for Hepatitis B and also PEP for HIV.

So I watched the now-trending video of how women in Pst. Bolaji's church echoed "men dey" when he was preaching to them about being responsible in dating. He quickly dusted his shoes and ended the service. I loved what he did there by not wasting much of his time talking to people who have already conditioned their mindset on not being valuable to themselves. Imagine the confession that woman gave, you'll then understand the mindset of many women out there and, as a man, the reason you should be more worried when looking for a woman to do life with.

Sometimes, the healthiest response is acceptance, silence, and moving on. That's exactly what Pst. Bolaji did right there at the pulpit.
