Shock and sadness have hit Tansian University, Umunya, Anambra State, following the sudden death of its newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Carter Dike Umeoduagu.
The 44-year-old Professor of Microbiology was officially inaugurated as Vice-Chancellor on October 2, 2026, in the presence of family, friends, colleagues and associates.
However, just 24 hours later, on October 3, he reportedly became ill and died.
