Stella's Blog Movie Post And Chat GPT Written Stories

The familiar Nollywood storytelling style many viewers grew up with is slowly disappearing, replaced by a wave of ChatGPT‑generated plots now dominating AI‑driven Nollywood content.

Despite the new format, the stories still carry that unmistakable Naija flavour filled with jealousy, poisoning attempts, juju, ghosts, and dramatic betrayals.
Ironically, the same tropes people once complained about in Nollywood movies are now resurfacing in these AI‑written stories. The difference? Everything feels too uniform , its the same voice, same walk, same storyline, and same emotional rhythm.
I recently watched one of these AI‑generated films and the ending was so chaotic that I had to advise myself to avoid all these new same voice, same walk, same storyline kinda stories.
The rise of AI storytelling in Nollywood is clearly here, to stay but it is just the same Nollywood formula wearing a digital mask.hahahahahahahaha
This is what is referred to as Same Sheet, different toilet!

  1. Tried using ChatGPT to polish my words when I just started content creation but it just felt like it was another person and not me!

I had to revert back to saying things the way I wanted to and I’m more comfortable with that!

I now know how chatGPT types and once I start reading a write up like that or a movie line like that, it totally puts me off!

    1. This ! A lady that teaches my child uses ChatGPT to send me prayers / messages. Omo I just skip her write-up. It feels like mumble jumble. The last one I just replied please just clarify what you’re saying in a sentence. I don’t bother reading it

  4. AI or No Ai, I really love originality.
I love to see those that think outside the box. I don't know when last that I watched Nollywood movies. From the beginning you can tell the end,no suspense.
Actors nko? Some of them have no acting experience that when they speak or act, it looks so fake.
Even stage drama is more thrilled than most of Nollywood movies.
Not trying to belittle their efforts, but to me sometimes is wack.
