Donbraye Akangbou Killed By Port Harcourt Police On 11-12-13....Wife Is 3 Months Pregnant!

EXCLUSIVE HEART BREAKING NEWS

This is how this young man died..please read.

Some of his colleagues went to buy diesel for the office generator.(Lunberg Services Ltd behind Coca Cola in Port harcourt  Trans Amadi). and as they were bringing the diesel jerry cans into the office premises,Some JTF police men trailed them from the filling station t into the office premises.

JTF policemen began harassing the guys who bought the diesel in Jerry cans. Donbraye Akangbou one of the high ranking employees on site came out of the office to mediate on the issue at hand.

After he tried to explain to the officers for 30mins without luck... One of the police officers got impatient because he thought they were not going to grease his palms with money.
He wanted to use the head of his gun to hit one of the employees, instead the gun went off and short Donbraye in the stomach at close range... All his intestines came out...

They rushed him to BMH A & E, and as usual the hospital delayed to treat him because it was a gun shot wound and they needed a police report... Donbraye died an hour later.

He got married in June 2013 and his wife is three months pregnant.

  1. Oh my God! Another casualty to the unbridled greed of Nigerian policemen.

If anyone had told this hitherto hale and hearty guy that he won't see the new year!

God, please stop the evil in my fatherland.

    3. This is truly sad. I know how his wife feels, because I lost my husband in a similar tragedy. Sister, the Holy Spirit alone will console you, no one can. And those perpetrators of this wicked act,God will judge. Don't know if this law that requires a police permit before a person with gun shot injury can be treated will never be reviewed. It's most unfair.

    7. Anon 12:21 it's your family that's useless.
for starters I'm not a police officer o. I'm honestly sorry for the waste of this young man by some reckless officer.
That said I don't stand for your rotten outburst. Why curse people's children? People won't ever see the good to talk about.
I've known and become friends+family with some police officers children. I'm glad to announce that through this association, I've met creme crop of policemen officers with education and finese.
Not to brag, these police children are posh graduates from the best schools and even private uni's in Nigeria.
That you're backward and thus have to interact with fellow backward illiterate road begging shameless rankless police recruits doesn't make u an authority on the lives and outcome of police children.
Won't need to make a list of police children I know making the best out of their lives o.
Interesting gist is this: when he becomes commissioner,AIG,DIG or IG all you BastardSs go come dey form familiarity.
If e easy sef carry masters join for ASP rank if u won't need your village babalawo, family pastor&heavy abj connection to get the job.
If by some stroke u get the job lemme see if you'll be cursing your generations out.
Anybody making mouth should show me his legit means of livelihood first.
No matter what evils u say about the Nigeria police be informed that the system is improving on a stead, our streets would be a total dungeon without them-believe it or not despite the fact that the Nigeria Police isn't meeting the UN suggested number of police available Per person. Don't offer bribes&gratifiications that's bad. Although y blame the police?its become our rotten culture to "settle" even gateman/govt officers. graduates&masters +professionals r scrambling for the job coz There is a lot of career prospect sef there while u Siddon dey criticise. if you knew the level of influence a policeman wields, you'll shut your trap and advice yourself and your jamb failing siblings to apply to Nigeria Police Academy to get degrees(like NdA) and hopefully lead u out of backwardness and help reduce the level of uneducated police recruits.

The rate at which these force people "mistakanly" shoot innocent civilians is becoming too much, just last week Setraco Soldiers guarding their white bosses at a bridge site shot two people in Delta state, though in this case the young man was stubborn, but there should be laws protecting citizens from the law and holding them accountable for situations like this, this hasn't stopped because they always get away with it, the next thing they will say is he was armed or some made up shit.

Some of them are so illiterate.(no insults intended)
Truth is, most young men in my village who are not interested in going to school, hustle for money and quickly join the force, next thing we know, they're policemen wielding guns....
What kind of training are the given? I don't know.

The police force is crap, it is all ur friends police fathers that sit in their office and send the smal ones to hustle twenty naira fifty naira etc on a daily basis, they give them target to deliver everyday, and fyi it is that daily bribe delivery that they use to send their children abroad, because if u are wise you will know that a normal police salary without bribe money attached cannot produce posh children who schooled abroad!

  93. It is okay to pray that his soul finds rest, it is also okay to heap curses on the incompetent and brute elements we call Policemen but this must not end here. Cyber and arm chair activism will not bring about justice for the victim's family. In other climes civil liberty organisations, NGOs, youth bodies and indeed the masses would take this up and pursue justice to its logical conclusion. Some one here has suggested a movement to push for justice for the victim yet nobody responded to that worthy call on this thread. Youths file out for all manner of political figures but cannot stand for their own simply because money is not involved yet we all complain about Nigeria when we have opted to be docile and ineffective. Lets all come out of our computers and ensure justice is met in this case, please!

  98. Donbraye Akangbou was a close friend back in university days. He was a softspoken young man with big dreams. An only son! Sobbs......tearing........
I can only say may his soul rest in peace-& may the Prince of Peace comfort his family and close friends IJN.
As for the Police Officer-you will meet your waterloo someday.

I would like to encourage every young Nigerian-NigerDeltan-Ijaw race to seek for Justice for Donbraye-He was < 35yrs. It could happen to any1 of us or to our FAFs. Some of us leave in homes where Diesel Gen is used for alternative power supply.........
Broadcast this sad incident on the radio, news channel, online radio-tv, social media forum, etc. Contact the Rivers State Police Command Director - Rita Akpenyi
    Phone # - 07034423908
    email - akpenyirita@yahoo.com
and ask about the case-if the officer has been charged? As a citizen it is your right to know ( "Right to information") if justice has been served. Imagine if 1million Nigerians contact Madam Rita concerning this issue. When you call you will be asked to contact the PRO-please do call and follow up. How long do we have to keep suffering silently?

My name is Ibiba Charles Dorgu

  102. God will punish u and ur very own family. So u know fine and posh policemen? Where r they? Y arent they on the streets preserving tne law? Instead of resting in the comfort of their homes? U r extremely stupid for posting this. Do u know the young man that was killed? IHe was a peaceful, easygoing fellow, the only son of his parents. And u wake up to write crap? Must u respond? If u don't have anything to say when pple r mourning, shut ur bloody mouth up! I hope u lose someone very close to u because of the negligence and greed of a policeman so u'll know how it feels...BEAST!

  103. Thanks for the information Mr. Charles Ibibia. Lets bombard the number with calls. I hear a petition has been filed at the human rights commission but we can do more to publicize this injustice by sharing it with the media such as AIT and Channels TV. This will surely attract more attention. I am sure if this happened in Lagos there would have been a mass protest and more publicity. It is time to wake up here!
