Abia Police Command investigate Death Of Governor's Relative




To unravel what seemed to be an accidental discharge that led to the death of a relative of Abia State Governor, Mr.John Ndubuka, the state command of the Nigeria police has set investigation to get the root of the urgly incident. 


Briefing journalists over the incident at the Government House, Umuahia, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. Eze Chikamnayo,said the victim, Mr.Ndubuka was hit by a bullet that killed him from an unknown source while leaving the venue at the end of a successful civic reception organized by Ikwuano/Umuahia people for the governor on Saturday. 


Dr. Chikamnayo said the event occurred after the governor,Chief  T.A. Orji had left the arena. The unfortunate incident occurred a few metres away from venue of the grand civic reception organized in honour of the governor by Ikwuano/Umuahia people. 


According to him, the identity of the assailant  is not yet known but  stated that the matter will be thoroughly investigated and assured that the police will get to the root of the matter.

He further stated that the state government is on top of the security situation in the state and will not waiver from its responsibility of protecting lives and property of the citizenry.

  9. It's is very disheartening to read some people here making demeaning comments. Please be careful not invoke the wrath of God. It was an accident and we should pray to God to protect and console the family and the Governors family that are his relatives.

  12. Abia state is God's own state, TA Orji n his son didn't kill John, it was a stray bullet dat hit him. John was such a wonderful person, evrybody in d state is still in shock even ikuku himself. May God grant d departed an eternal rest
