The Meeting Point -21

Choi,sweet story!

Hi Stella, your blog adds so much colour to my day. I love u too much jor.
So actually met hubby when I was six years old.( I know right!) Though I don't remember the day at all he tells the story all the time of that first day he saw me he was just strolling around the village it was xmas period (we are both from the same villa) and suddenly a little girl(me) ran out from a compound carrying 2wine bottles filled with sand and looking really worried, I said I was looking for my sister and cousins who were supposed to go and bring the ingredients we were to use to cook our "sand sand" food lol!

(Christmas was the best time ever for us as kids).

He asked me my name i told him then ran past him as I told him my mum would beat me if she saw me talking to a stranger. He said his cousin later told him about my family and all.

Fast forward to eight years later when I was 14, another xmas again in villa, I was strolling around enjoying the feel of nature as it was always so serene and beautiful and then I saw him with his cousin, he walked across the road to me and said hi. we got talking, he told me his name and family I (knew the family as it was a prominent one. So I was relaxed)

We exchanged numbers after our walk. And I really enjoyed our talk even though I was forming hard to get.lol.

Some days later I was shocked to see him in my house gisting and laughing away with my mum. My mum introduced him to me as so-so and so's son. He even pretended he hadn't met me before and just said hello to me and they resumed their talk.

Later that day I asked my mum if we were related. She said we weren't, that that day was the first day she even met him said that he just walked into the compound and introduced himself coincidentally my mum said his mum was her classmate in Uni and since it was Xmas she invited him and they just hit it off like that. (My mum can gist for Africa eh). So that was how he started coming around and getting close to the family.

After the yuletide season we all went back to our Base. We continued talking over the phone for months. Omoh see love...we talked almost every night chai! My first and only true love . Somehow somehow my mum snooped on me and saw the text messages we exchanged. Omoh see raking.

She Called him on phone then and warned him to stay clear off me as I was too young then for a relationship he apologised and promised her he would. He called me then and told me about it, he said he really liked my mom and wouldn't want to spoil the relationship he had with her and my family, so we kinda stopped talking then.

The next year he graduated and went for his youth service I had just finished writing my WAEC then he called and told me he was posted to so so and so place. We rarely talked after that. But during Christmas he still visited my house to talk with my mom and after i will sneak out in the evenings to stroll with him.

During one of those strolls i had my first kiss (hehehe) ;we had just finished walking and we said our goodnightsss he called me back to say I forgot my phone with him when he gave the phone to me we just stared at each other for a while and he then he kissed me.... I really liked him so much. Na so so butterfly just they parole my stomach through out that evening.

Later that year, When I got admission he was the first person I called to tell, he was excited for me and yabbed me saying "see this small geh of yesterday is now an undergraduate"

I moved into school and became busy we rarely talked anymore as we had a little misunderstanding sometime. My mom told me sometime he called to tell her he got a job (he had called her before the interview to ask her to pray for him as it was a tough one she said she prayed over the phone for him and assured him he would succeed.) so he was really excited when he got the job he even brought somethings to the house as token of his appreciation for her prayers.

They became close again as I would over hear her laughing a few times on the phone with him.

Fast forward to my final year my mom kept bringing him up most times when am with her. She would mention how his parents were worried he has refused to settle down upon he had a good job and was doing well. One other time she told me how he refused all the ladies his parents and family members recommended to him.

Hmmm like I did not know what she was trying to do. Sometime she even asked me if we still talked, I told her no, shebi she warned him never to call me again she laughed and said that was so many years ago now besides he's grown to be a really responsible God fearing man and all what not...

Sadly, one evening my mom called me to say he had lost his dad I was really sad so I called him immediately. When he picked my call and I heard his voice, his voice just felt like home, dunno how to explain it sha but I knew I was still in love with him. He texted me some weeks later to inform me about the burial. I attended with my parents. That was the first time I was seeing him again in like 4years, when he looked at me, in his eyes I saw a mix of grief and affection.

I just automatically felt it in my heart of hearts that I belonged to this man. Somehow after the burial, we got talking again. 2months later he proposed.

Even though I did my initial shakara I was very happy oo. When i told my mom about the proposal she laughed and said he called her earlier to obtain her permission saying for almost six years now he has been counting and waiting for me to grow up o.. she said she gave him her consent sharp sharp saying he was like a son to her already. We courted for 5months and got married early this year.

Hubby said all those years he never stopped thinking about me and praying that God would just keep me for him and that was the major reason he made much effort to keep in touch with my mom even though we had grown apart. He also said that day he met me when I was just 14 after our first talk something in him just registered that I was his wife. Our marriage has been bliss ever since. My husband loves me to a fault. Sometimes I wonder if am dreaming. His love for me is just too strong and deep.

It's funny (and romantic) how he would roll over in his sleep at night touch me and say "nkem I love you" or "thank you for marrying me asam" Sometimes it makes me cry.

He's the most sensitive and caring man i've ever met. I no know say naija man fit love like this. Both in words and action. His love reminds me of the love Christ has for the church. My prayers every day is that God will continue to bless him for us and Christ in me I will love him too as pure as it comes from my heart and be the help meet God designed me to be to him because I know in my heart this match was made in heaven and God has a purpose for our union.

If you leave me I will take another 2pages to gush about his love. Sorry for the long story and Thank you Stella for this platform. Hope you enjoyed it. (The pix are for your eyes only oo)

    1. Awww, poster ur hubby acts just like my hubby, so romantic, wakes up at night to say he loves me, always writing romantic stuff on BBM and fb, would do anything to make me happy. You can imagine my shock when I found out he was cheating, all dt romance became worthless to me, sometimes I wish I didn't find out cos a part of me still hates him so much for the betrayal. I don't wish u that tho.

    6. 28,still a virgin, never kissed, never fondled, nor caressed. Waiting for true love to find me and wed me; that's the only way I'm giving up my cookie.

Till then, I'm just going to keep pretending I'm a mermaid.

But I am of the believe that when the right time comes, everything will fall in place without me stressing myself.❤❤πŸ™πŸ™

He came to our house one morning to greet my mum, when he left my mum said "I hope u guys are not doing anything coz u guys cannot marry bla bla bla... that single statement affected the relationship, we grew apart. He is in Europe now though we still communicate once in a while. First love can be sweet sha.

  38. Your story is very sweet. I pray I will send mine in soon. I met a guy 2 years ago. I am still a virgin but we bathe together, give each other head,he sucks my breast and the whole fingering stuff. I spend most weekends in his house. We haven't had sex because he is a man of faith and says he's team no premarital sex. My main problem is that he has never told me he likes me not to talk of love but I know he loves me and I pray that he will soon propose.
