  1. Never to trust anyone here. Snitches and betrayals abound. Just be mindful of what you say and share.

    No one is truly loyal.

Learned that women set the standards for men higher than for themselves - an almost tacit admission that men are superior to women.

  2. A lot!

    - As a single lady, don't quit your job because you're getting worried (this one really helped me when it got to my turn). Ensure you're earning something as a wife and mum.

    - Mind what you put out there about yourself and family.

    - Treat your in-laws the way you'll want to be treated.

    Let me stop here.

  5. A lot of people are hurting. The supposed anonymous nature of the forum allows carefully guarded personas, cultivated to mask enormous hurts going on within, to drop. People are going through a lot. I however do try not to be an additional reason why anyone should have a bad day.

  7. The blog is a community of people. Don't outdo yourself to impress anyone. People really don't care

Be careful of the cheers you get as they sometimes go anonymous to drop acidic comments about you.

Don't overshare about your personal life. Less is more. Keep it private and protect your digital footprint 👣

  25. I learnt a lot, but I will say the funny words I picked up from this blog and still make me laugh: JAPA. SAPA, VAWULENCE, ODUGWU, Lori iro (the expression), Pasta and Pastress (the day I read the comment with this term, I laughed so much that my face heated up like a volcano), etc. Most importantly, I got to know about NSPDD from Stella (with Tonto Dike's) post, and God does answer prayers in ways beyond my knowledge and imagination. I am a living testimony. This blog has helped me stay up to date with all that's happening back home, and I am grateful for it.
