    1. May be they didn’t have enough evidence to substantiate the money laundering count. Or there was a plea deal. They drop the other counts, and he pleads guilty to the these counts. Issa win-win smth, he won’t suffer the court and the prosecutors while they drop the more serious counts.

    2. What you will have to explain is why you were in the crowd holding pitchforks calling for the head of a person who's grevious crime is really appearing like the opposite gender as we have had since the beginning of time. Your child will grow up in a world where she will understand that what Idris is experiencing is pure bigotry but she will struggle with realising you cheered the ignoble cause.

I hope you are never in the cross hairs of those with power who will use a technicality to upend your life. Which one of your relatives would you happily let become a convict and perhaps even face time in jail for spraying money or isn't there at least one person in your family who can afford to if you can't? This guy's real crime is funding his surgeries, wearing girl clothes and wearing make-up, none of which you financed. Don't pretend as of this is about any child.

  10. He will be fined 2 years in prison with an option of #500k fine.

He will pay the fine on the spot and walk away, a free "person"

    1. The day you are cornered by a uniformed man with a grouse who arrests you for jaywalking, I hope you will be for the same law.

I hope those who travel are open to the real punishment for traveling with palm oil, incorrectly declared sums and other crimes, you will be as stoically patriotic.

These are the same people who cry foul when their lines are switched off for failing to register their NIN, support a charlatan on the pulpit when an innocent child goes missing on his property yet they are okay with ruining the life of an annoying guy for the audacity to wear feminine clothes. What a shame.

    1. This is what I dislike. I'm not his fan, but using the law or justice system to humble someone is weird. Anyone can be a scapegoat tomorrow for powerful people who abuse the system. I want a legal system that is actually just.

    2. That said, how do they strike out money laundering charges? Just like that? It's much more A serious offense than spraying naira at a party. If EFCC is really serious, they should start with that.
