Sadly, it is something that will continue, because we have kids who grow up in dysfunctional homes, some who have very low self esteem, or others who themselves have been bullied, and they think it's ok to bully other innocent kids. And, if you ain't close to your kids, they may never open up to you. As such, your kids will slowly lose esteem, and d.ie slowly.
ReplyDeleteLast term, my wife and I enrolled our son Giovanni, in a taekwondo class in school. It is simply a self defense measure to ensure he is fully prepared to counter any rubbish. The message to him is clear - "don't shout at, bully or beat anyone. But if they try to bully you, report to the school. If they try to harm you, fight back!". People are wicked.....
Once our daughter, Giannina, clocks 3, she will learn taekwondo, tai chi, Karate, Man O War and any other thing that will help her defend herself. She will even go to the village and learn how to properly spray pepper in the eyes of any bully or attacker. ✌️

DeleteOn Monday at iyanoworo garage, the touts beat a guy almost to death because according to them, he threw a chair at their chairman. They even beat his friend that was trying to plead with them.
They dragged him on the floor, hit his head on concrete, stomped on him and finally dragged him on the floor to the said chairman.
The most painful part is that they put out a false statement that he stole, so people started blaming the guy and stopped trying to intervene.
it was one of the garage guys that was angry with what they did that told me the truth.
While loading our vehicle, he said " how over 50 people dey beat one person because of one eye chairman, wetin the chairman do the man. I asked him what happened because I was already curious due to how the man was dressed and his friend was clutching his own phone while they were beating him too for trying to intervene.
The garage guy told me that the man and his friend were even dragging down from the vehicle they had boarded and beaten to stupor.
I was so angry and felt terribly helpless, that I cried because even police men and lastma didn't stop these guys.
So, this man's family will be at home waiting for him at home,not knowing what is happening to him.
I just prayed that that man will survive that beating and the garage chairman will what is coming to him without delay.

ReplyDeleteHealing is so frustrating. It is like you're doing well, you're forgiving, you're letting things go and you're working on processing through it all. Then, boom traumatic thoughts enter your mind and you have to start all the way over processing those feelings.
A healing stage is disgust. Yes, disgust. You will be disgusted by people whose love you sought. You will feel embarrassed about the choice you made and the people who had access to you who didn't deserve it. Feel this feeling and let it go. That will never be you again. Years of trapped trauma can make you feel like you don't really fit in anywhere emotionally or like your younger years were stolen from you and sometimes you still feel like a kid but also pain has aged you. Heal yourself first, the rest will come later. Heal, so you can see that attention is not love, attachment is not connection and bare minimum is not an effort. Don't spend the last few days of April doing the same thing that held you back last month, Sis. HEAL!!!

Children of God, some mistakes in life can never be corected, rather it can be managed. Life without God is like a blind man without a guide. Have u ever seen a blind man confortably living alone, going to market, running a business etc without a helper, that is how you as a child of God whenever you throw God by the corner and do things yourself without involving him.
The choices you make will either make you or mar you. How do you feel as a parent when your ten years old wakes up suddenly to tell you, mother or father, despite you feed me, take care of me and clothe me, i will start taking decisions of my life myself, i don't need your input anymore.
Won't that be madness and also funny to you, because you know that he/she is just a child and will make so many bad choices. This is exactly how God feels when we do things without his help.
No matter your age, affluence, qualifications and exposure. You can still make loads of mistakes. But with God being your eyes, ears and Mouth. You will never fall into the ocean of regret.
In life, their are three spiritual gates that the enemy can use to destroy us. They are:
The eyes
The ears and the mouth
In decision making, what you see with your eyes can either convince or confuse you. What you hear can mislead or disorganize you, what you speak or spoken to can build or destroy you.
The fact remains that you need God. That thing you feel that you know well can humiliate you.
Allow Jesus to be a part of you. Normalize involving him in all you do.
Any man that puts God first in all things will always be first and can never come last. God can not be mocked Jesus will forever remain lord, whether you acknowledge him or not.
