Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has ordered the sealing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat in Abuja, along with 4,793 other properties that were revoked by the FCTA earlier this year.
The enforcement is set to begin on Monday, May 26, 2025, as part of the government’s effort to reclaim properties whose owners have defaulted on ground rent payments for several years. The affected properties include government institutions, private organizations, and individual-owned properties across Central Area, Garki, Wuse, Asokoro, Maitama, and Guzape districts.
Officials clarified that the revocation notice was served on the titleholder of the PDP secretariat property, not the party itself, meaning PDP was occupying the space but did not own it. The FCTA insists that this action is not politically motivated, but rather a legal enforcement of existing land regulations...

ReplyDeleteWhat wickedness, we have penchant as Nigerians for breaking protocols and laws. Why not pay the appropriate fees if it is the required thing to do? Most of them that have property abroad do they not pay monthly council tax and fees?
