DeleteA woman came to my shop today, asking me to remind her how to cut asymmetric neckline, that she has forgotten how to cut it. So I asked her to bring the dress that she's making so I will show her in the dress. I got chalk and started carving the pattern, as I began sketching it, she moved her head backwards and kept a straight face as if she's saying in her mind " oh, this girl, you don't understand what I am talking about, you just did something totally different from what I asked for. When I finished she shook her head in disagreement, then she told me that I didn't get it right. That she knows how to do it but she can't recall how she used to achieve it but what I showed her is not how it's done. On my own part I was surprised, how? Is there any other way other than this method. She took the dress and left, saying that I don't know how to do it.
ReplyDeleteI closed early today so I passed through her shop , I went to check what she achieved so far and lo and behold, she did it exactly how I showed her. So all those her gragra is just to avoid thanking me for showing her what she does not know how to do, lol. This is the 4th time she's doing this. Na she dey always come ask me but when I show her she won't admit that I got it.
Before she started coming for assistance, she had first approached me to meet her for assistance on any one I cannot do. I won't be needing her assistance anyway, and she knows that. Lol.
It's pride that's disturbing her. Just accept that this person sabi pass you calm down and learn but no, pride won't let them.

ReplyDeleteAs I dey this office hangout, I just dey think about my life again. My mind come flash back to that fateful night wey I enter olosho house and everybody come dey run. My people, na police burst the place o 😱. I follow all the olosho run upstairs to where their rooms dey, come dey beg dem to allow me enter. Dem no gree o until one old looking fat one come say make I enter but say I must nack. Out of desperation, I enter her room. Meanwhile, her door no fit lock well. Na so me and her come use body dey block door o.
The policemen were now going from door to door trying to burst enter and arrest olosho with their customer. I was praying to God to save me say if he save me I no go enter olosho house again. Wetin I go tell my papa if dem arrest me? My papa wey go disown me. Na so we hear ‘open this door now’. Me and the olosho come use all our power to block the door until the policemen gave up and moved to the next room. Na so God take save me o.
After waiting in that hot room for what seemed like a decade, the coast was now clear and everybody comot from hiding. The useless olosho now say make I nack or pay her money and comot. I say make I try, make my money no go waste. She come dey give me rules and regulations. You must not touch bwess. She no go comot bra. Only missionary. If you no finish after fifteen minutes, you go pay another money. I say haba, which kind wahala be this? Make she kukuma just take the money jor. Me wey sweat wan kill me for that room. Na so I run comot for there o. As fresh air blow me outside, e come be like say na freedom from prison I dey. The next day I had to go thanksgiving for Believers Love world for my campus and I never enter olosho house again since then o 🙌
Make I comot this office hangout dey go my Friday night joint jare. Next week I go give una gist of wetin my eye see for Naija olosho hand when my oga carry me go SA for the first time. My olosho brothers go learn one or two from my experience 😂. Happy weekend!

Fasting blood sugar and blood count was okay
I still don't feel better
Some days,I feel weak and tired, today I was just running temperature all day.
Doc said it's rest. I took a day off last week off and I didn't do anything, just hospital visit. Bed rest and didn't even cook
I have upper back pain and I have used aboniki although not regularly , still in pains.

My people as you can imagine, I didn’t sleep that night. Not a wink. I lay there on the bed, heart pounding, staring at the balcony door as if it might swing open at any moment.
ReplyDeleteThe women who came to my rescue that night didn’t say much. One of them picked up the coral bead bracelet and silently handed it to the oldest among them, a woman who must’ve been in her 60s, with tired eyes and an expression that looked like she'd seen this too many times before.
She shook her head and said, “He hasn’t changed,” and slipped it into the wrapper tied around her waist.I asked them what was going on, what kind of family I had just married into. The older woman just said, “My dear, sleep with one eye open in this house,” and walked out.
Please note that at this point, my MIL and her daughters were nowhere to be found. I had found it weird earlier on that my MIL who was a so called pastor decided to 'anoint' my ex and I when we knelt down for prayers.
I later discovered the reason for this.By morning, nothing was still said. The party from the night before had ended, and my ex strolled in around 6am, drunk and reeking. I told him what happened. He laughed. Actually laughed!!!. He said, “Ah, that’s just the old man. Ignore him. He was probably drunk and wandered to the wrong room.”I didn't know that his words were hiding an even bigger bombshell BVs!!
I knew then that no one in that house was going to protect me, not even my husband. I mean how can someone who climbed a balcony just accidentally wander into the wrong room. A man of around 70 plus o.
Things got stranger after that night. I remember being so naive and being in love and hoping for the best. I wish I had raised the alarm and fled to my family house. But in those days you stayed and tolerated whatever your eye saw.
One night, I remember Chief declaring, “In this house, I go where I please.”That was the beginning of the end.
I’ll tell you what happened after we left the family house for their home town elsewhere and why my husband kept quiet and what I later found out about the Chief’s past next week Friday.
