Actress Juliana Oloyede Rants About How Expensive Aso-ebi Has Become....

Actress Juliana Oloyede rants about the exorbitant prices of aso ebi. She asked that couples should choose between guests buying their aso ebi or spraying them money. She pleaded that couples be considerate when setting their aso ebi prices.

‎She said:

‎ ''Please to those getting married why is your aso ebi expensive? I think Tinubu need to start picking colors because we have all the colors. Onion red, pink, purple because how can you be selling your aso ebi 3 yards 500k.

‎After spending so much to buy and make the cloth you still expect us to spray/give you money at the party.

‎You literally can't wear the cloth again. Why can't you sell your aso ebi for 20,25k we can make lovely styles with it.
‎Make it easy for people to attend your wedding or is it the money for aso ebi you want to use for your wedding?

‎When we get to the wedding hall there will be no seats because everywhere is packed with content creators.
‎Then you expect them to still spray you for what!!!. You pick either asheobi or spraying. I don't think aso ebi have to be expensive make the price reasonable.

‎We want to come and celebrate with you don't make us tired'' .

    2. She was absolutely right about “No Seat” at the party. There is chairs for 300 and they invited 1000. Reason why i have determined to stop going to all these parties. No matter who the person doing the party is or the party planner Naija party is always a circus and is not worth it. You buy so called Aso ebi, paid for makeup/gele and also sprayed the celebrant and you cannot get a seat or a bottle of water and the celebrant said they spent millions for the tacky party

  2. I don't know why she's complaining. It's not a must you attend the wedding. Nobody can force me to buy aso ebi for that price. I don't like stress at all.

  5. Like I always say, make it simple. I'd rather give out that 500k than spend it on aso ebi.
I resolved many years ago never to buy aso ebi and I stood by it. Cos after the wedding, you can't wear them again, so why waste all that money?
They have even advanced now, they now add pyjamas and all of that to it.
To some, if you can't afford the aso ebi, it shows you are not "all that"
You see some girls putting themselves under unnecessary pressure just so they can afford the aso ebi.
To me, I feel it's too much energy.
Simple and easy is πŸ’― peace of mind.

  8. What’s even more annoying is that there is now a ‘no aso ebi, no entry’ rule and they give one access card per aso ebi. The aso ebi is never less than 300k. I just paid for one but that’s really the last time. It’s become a form of extortion. No be by force. I go chop better for my house and kuku see everything on SM.

  9. You must not buy the aso ebi, wear what you have in peace.

  10. She has made a good point but nothing will change. If it's not compulsory, go with the colour of the day and wear what you have.

In cases where you must buy to have an access card, na to stay your house na.
