Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative - UPDATE

Hmmmm......

Update:

Some weeks back I dropped a comment about returning the SUV my man bought for me because of a statement he made(the good head comment ) that caught me off guard.

Apparently Stella posted it as Chronicle. Lol. 

My sister refused to return the car and he kinda noticed I was a bit distant. So when I got back from my trip, he came to pick me up from the airport by himself .

I am avoidant while he’s the solve the problem head on type. We talked and he clarified that with or without “head” he was going to buy my car .

Over the weekend he Proposed!!! 💍
I keep staring at my ring because I still can’t believe it.

A little back story…So this summer I was supposed to go visit my parents but my dad kept asking me not to buy my ticket yet and I was a bit worried but he assured me that he’d let me know when to buy my ticket. My birthday was last month and my plan was to spend it with my folks so I was a bit down but my parents called me on video call and kept saying they will see me soon .

So last week, my man told me he was taking me on a date over the weekend

( our date night is Thursdays) and he wanted me to wear a particular outfit and it will be delivered to me. I was like why?. 

Anyways my sister out of the blues called me and said she booked a spa day for me and I had to go the next day or it will expire . I was like don’t worry I’ll call them and pay the extra fee to extend the date cos I just wanted to stay home for the weekend and sleep until my date in the evening. 

She pressured me until I gave in and went. Massage,mani and pedi was done ..

Come Saturday evening, my sister came to my house and was like where are you going, I said on a date. She then said ahan won’t you makeup? ( I hardly make up except I’m going for events. I don’t wear makeup to work). I said no. She then proceeded to convince me to put on a little makeup 

My man picked me up. On our ride he was a little too quiet and when we got to the location I was confused cos what are we doing at a library??? He was like baby just trust me. Immediately we stepped inside the staff were all smiling and showed us to a room and when he opened the door I saw the most beautiful arrangement of white roses and baby’s breath flowers and lit candles in a library room full of books. ( I love novels. You’ll always find me reading especially urban fiction novels. They are my escape from reality ). 

OMG!!! 

I was stuck to the floor in shock. In the middle of the room was an artist’s board with pictures of our relationship journey. At this point I was already a mess. The tears were free flowing and he allowed me to take my time and gather myself meanwhile my man was nervous .

Then he started talking about how much he loved me and wants to do life with me and have babies and all that stuff and he wouldn’t want to ask me the most important question to start our journey without the people that mean the world to me not present.

Next thing the door opened again and I heard people coming into the room cos my back was turned to the door so when I turned I saw my parents and I screamed(haven’t seen my dad in 2 years) and stared sobbingx2. 

Then he got on his knees and I couldn’t tell you what he said cos I was a mess  until he tugged my hand and said baby you haven’t answered and I said Yes and everybody started laughing and clapping.

It was an emotional moment for us and our family and friends. My fiancé family was present too. When I watch proposal videos online, I always say why is she crying like that but see me crying a river!
So all this while this man was planning with my folks and didn’t tell me. That’s why my dad asked me to put my trip on hold cos they were coming to visit.

I asked him how the got the Library idea and he said he saw that I wrote in one of my favorite novels that I’d loved to be proposed to in a library surrounded my novels. This is an old novel and I wrote this 5years ago. I have even forgotten. Wow! (Habakkuk 2:2).

We had a little engagement dinner to end the night and it was an absolute joy!.
I’m so grateful to God for the amazing people in my life and I can’t wait to start this journey with the Love of my life.

I’ve always wanted a small intimate wedding but my man is from a large family so that’s kinda impossible.
It’s gonna be a Fall wedding!
