Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Igboho, has sought the assistance of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, to help him plead with the Nigerian govt because of his inability to access his Bank accounts.
He wants the Ooni to plead on his behalf with President Bola Tinubu for his name to be removed from the Federal Government of Nigeria's wanted list.


 Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, blew hot as he petitioned the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), seeking sanctions against three judges -Justices Binta Nyako, Haruna Tsammani, and Garba Lawal – for alleged gross judicial misconduct. Kanu, in the strongly-worded petition he personally signed, accused the trio of miscarriage of justice in his trial.

The African Democratic Congress on Saturday dismissed remarks by Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, the 2023 Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, describing his criticism of the opposition coalition as “personal opinions” that do not reflect the ADC’s position. In a statement signed by Jackie Wayas, the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, the ADC reaffirmed its commitment to uniting opposition forces ahead of the 2027.

 The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts to protect the lives and property of Nigerians amid ongoing security challenges in parts of the country. The PDP Governors’ Forum, led by its Chairman and Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, made this known on Saturday during their meeting in Gusau, Zamfara State.

 Katsina State Government has described as cowards, the bandits who attacked and killed 28 morning worshippers in a Mosque in Malumfashi Local Government. The Acting Governor of the state, Alhaji Faruq Lawal-Jobe, who made the remark in Katsina on Saturday, also described the incident as “sad and most unfortunate”.

 A former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, retired Capt. Tunji Shelle, on Saturday, resigned his membership of the party, defecting to the African Democratic Party. Shelle and other PDP bigwigs, as well as some Labour Party members, joined ADC at an affirmation ceremony in Lagos.

 The House of Representatives has queried the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission over the N59bn Central Bank of Nigeria loan for the execution of National Mass Metering Programme. The House also queried the Meristem Wealth Management Limited and NESI – SSL for giving approval to a firm to receive 0.5% of annual collection from electricity distribution companies to 2030.

 The Police command in Niger says it has six suspects in its custody for allegedly stealing a 300 KVA transformer along Kaduna Road. This is contained in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, issued on Saturday in Minna.

. A 16-year-old girl, Praise Malachi, lost her life in flooding while rushing home to check her Senior School Certificate Examination results, which her friends told her were excellent. Praise was a final year student of Government Day Secondary school, Samaru, Zaria, who bagged scholarship from the Centre of Girls Education Zaria to further her education because of her brilliant performance.

 Muslims in Jalingo town of Taraba State have been banned from organising all forms of wedding parties. The wedding parties banned include Kauyawa day (Villagers’ Days) and Ajo parties during which youths including young boys and girls dress in tattared clothes and dance mostly from evening to night in the name of wedding party.

    Does any non government organization has right to ban party in any State. much less religious body. I'm sensing crisis in that State if not nid at the bud
