He came to the Office to report me to my Boss and something in my head exploded!!!
He ran after me and asked me to take the child or else he will do something to me; but I was not afraid of him anymore. I told him blankly to take the child to the school himself.
Later in the afternoon during break, I left the office to the bank. On my way back, my colleague kept calling me. And when I picked, she said I should wait for her at the gate, she needed to tell me something. Ok, hope no problem? She said when I come.
When I got there, she told me my ex was at the office saying he wants to report me to our MD. She said she and my other colleague managed to hold him back till I come so we can sort out our differences. I told her to allow him go ahead and report. I didn’t steal anybody’s money, I didn’t kill anyone so what crime did I commit?
She pleaded with me not to over-react so I don’t escalate the situation since he came with our child. Na there my head spark! With which child?

I started running, she was running after me. All the floodgates of tears opened in my eyes, I was weeping and running. People were staring but I didn’t care, I was damn too angry. I have been betrayed by an insider who I finally knew was going to leave me heart broken.
When I got to the office, I indeed met him there with our child. I collected the child from him and started raining curses on him. I said ‘shebi he wants to disgrace me, today I will tell everyone how he has been maltreating and oppressing me’
I started to tell them in tears what I had been going through in the hands of the wicked man.
It was my boss who came out to eventually plead with me. He told me to take the child home and rest. He didn’t know I was going through a lot. I called my sister on my way back and she told me to take uber to her house.

I stayed there for many weeks before a meeting was called for reconciliation between both families. Many instructions, many rules were given to him as regards me and the child’s wellbeing but did he change?

I have a friend whose husband is a pastor and he was in the habit of telling lies publicly against her until she changed it for him. Every secret from his ED to STIs to sponsoring runs girls with her money as the breadwinner, she finally sent to his family, church members, church pastors and elders and friends with correct receipts after years of him disgracing her with lies to them. The moment she became so shameless shocked him to the core.
