Yesterday night at Atan Iju. I went to get some drugs. The pharmacy is right beside a car wash. There is this young guy who stole a customer's money. The guy parked his car and asked this guy to wash for him. I think, during the process, bobo took 13k from the cash(amount I don't know) the guy kept under the driver's seat.
After washing, the guy drove out of the car wash to re-park as not to disturb others from coming in. In the process, he noticed a change in what he kept under the seat and wahala began.
He was questioned and before you know, people don gather. I was watching the film while waiting for the pharmacist to attend me. The guy knelt down and cried then begged for forgiveness.

He was asked to produce the money but the money don go far. How? He said he sent it to his mum at home in order for them to buy food and drugs. From his explanation, he has younger ones at home and they had not eaten, the mum also is a bit strong . Lfe can be unfair to some of us at times.
I was so so emotional when the guy asked him to call the said mum and he actually spoke to her and didn't even mention it to her that the guy stole from him. Before it got to that stage, the guy asked them not to beat him at all, he only needed him to say the truth.

Person wey get money no para, na the others wey dey dia dey do like weyre. Yes, he stole but the owner was merciful. This guy wey steal na yoruba guy ooo, una still dey talk say he needs beating for stealing customer's money. If not for the igbo guy,dem for almost kill the guy.
This is somebody who genuinely, with humility and tears apologised for his act. Infact, it was the POS lady close to that car wash he gave the money and his mum's account number to send the money to. Frustration can make some people misbehave though, it's not an excuse for stealing but everyone deserves to be given a second chance.
Humility is key. Sometimes, we must swallow our pride and show respect, even to those who may seem inferior. A genuine apology or gesture of humility can go a long way. The act itself doesn't have to be lengthy, but it must be sincere. By showing humility, we can resolve conflicts and move forward with dignity intact.

I agreed with Mammi Stella oo,if something dey someone's blood e dey hard to clear off instead it will grow to yield more fruits either good or bad one except through God's intervention,he is lucky to fall on a better hand if not... hmmm
ReplyDeleteMay God help him though by providing for them and change him for good.
If he wasn't caught, he won't be sorry. There's NO excuse to justify stealing. He was pardoned, next time he won't be.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all..... I condem jungle justice and for the car wash guy. It is better to ask or beg than stealing ok? no be only your family dey pass through one or two in this country, I know family means alot to us but they say a good name is better off lambo and ferrari.
ReplyDeleteThat Politicians that steals today started somewhere small too....
Madam Pinky, most times I wonder how you reason.
ReplyDeleteSo to provide for his family, he has to cause another man pain.
Ire ooo *in your voice"
Lemme tell you poster a little story: years back, my pregnant wife was assaulted at a small alley close to our residential estate. She was robbed, slapped around and was being dragged into a dark corner before the commotion was noticed by a couple and alarm raised and eventually one of the assailants was caught. On his first arraignment, he attacked a police officer, broke his jaw with his handcuffs and escaped but was recaptured. Day of sentencing, this fellow cried so much, his shirt was soaked in tears, snot was running down his nose, rolling....to the point people were sounding like you doupin your post.... except the judge tho. She was probably used to those antics.
ReplyDeleteI can give you other examples but lemme chill for now.
A Criminal's primary Tactic is manipulation: whether physical with a weapon, psychological with a computer or emotional as the case above.
