ReplyDeleteThe world was worst before. Today there is value placed on those living with disabilities and they are protected. Women and children had protection too, much greater than they ever had before. There will always be ppl doing evil, we still have not reached a place where wars are eliminated, but the world is much better place than it was 200 years ago. People have more freedom to think for themselves and have greater life choices. The world is a much better place, but it is not a perfect place and it is still not paradise, we are working to get there.
ReplyDeleteWhat we do have is some different ills that were not so common previously, like substance abuse, p0rn, social media addiction, these are things that we are dealing with now.
Forgot to add that global poverty levels have gone down significantly. My parents were able to give me and my siblings a much better life than they had, and they had easier lives than their parents. They didn’t even have indoor plumbing and electricity until they became working adults. Children today are guaranteed an education and nobody has to be illiterate today. I know in some places child labour is still a reality, thankfully in much of the western world that has been eradicated.
