Hmmmmmmmmm.....
STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
FAMILY PATTERN
People around me think I am nonchalant about relationship matters or Marriage, but one of the reasons I appear relaxed is because of the patterns I have noticed in my immediate and extended family. I have tried twice to break the pattern, but it did not work out.
None of my engagements or introductions have led to marriage. I noticed that the women in my family usually get married from age thirty two and above, and I will be thirty this year, that means i have two years left before i get married. I need advice on how to navigate these family patterns.
How do i break the pattern???Should i just continue relaxing or do something?
Is 32 not an OK age to marry? You are not too young or too old..Marrying to early aint good..Since you know there is a pattrn, then use the remaining two years left to prepare yourself for marriage.....Abeg dont do anything about it, leave it like this!
Get yourself ready by learning how to cook, clean house, treat a man good, how to gbensh and all that...

The pattern exists because you conceal it in your mind.
ReplyDeleteDOZZYBEST.
Simple
DeleteHehehe.
ReplyDeletePoster, you want to drag a man from the streets straight to your family for marriage in order to break the pattern?
If it happens before your 32 fine.
If it does not too, life goes on.
That does not still mean you will just sit one place and expect a partner to find you.
Acquire more life goals as you await.
Just take ur time and all will fall in place ..meanwhile Stellz 😆...how to gbensh @32 Keh?? what if aunty na RoboCop?? Na me talk am since.. 👍
ReplyDeleteAbeg poster, next time use an umbrella to cover your head before you step out. E be like say hot sun wey dey wire you dey make you overthink things.
ReplyDeleteTake good and proper look around. Marriages are happening later than normal. Economic pressures and the strain of modern living has made many intending couples to push marriage as far back as they can. I think it is even a general phenomenon worldwide. So don't overthink it.
I'll like to remind you though that our lives move in the direction of our most dominant thoughts. What you think becomes your reality.
Mindset mindset!
ReplyDeleteDear poster, seems you already resigned your faith to the family pattern and now your mind agrees to it,please I urge you to think positively and tell yourself you arr different, above all, talk to God concerning it
Is this the olodo uprisingyall keep talking about?
ReplyDeleteFor a woman, early marriage is advisable, I must say. But 32 isn’t bad at all.
ReplyDeleteThe real concerns usually start when it’s above 40. Not that it’s too late, but certain factors begin to come into play, like early menopause, uterine strength, and the stress of childbirth, etc.
However, in your case, I’ll say this. Don’t pressure yourself when it’s not yet time. When you force things into place, they can easily fall apart because of the pressure. Patterns are real, no doubt. And no one should undermine that. But most of the things we call "patterns" may not actually be negative.
What if it’s simply divine timing, preparing you for something truly worth the wait and patience Marrying at 32 isn’t late or bad. So I don’t see anything negative in your "pattern" here. Just like the red ink in the chronicle said, take your time and build yourself properly as you anticipate marriage.
All the best to you, sweetie ♥️

ReplyDeleteFor I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.(Jeremiah 29:11)
Dear poster ,do not allow your family's history to become the standard by which you measure your future. What God has written concerning your life is greater than any recurring pattern you have observed. The God who changed the stories of Sarah, Ruth, Hannah, and Elizabeth is still at work today.
Continue to trust God's perfect timing.
Do not be anxious about your age or compare your journey with that of others. God's promises are not controlled by timelines or family trends. Your testimony will not be determined by what happened to those before you but by the faithfulness of the God who goes before you.
I pray that every delay outside God's purpose will be broken. May every closed door that was not meant for you give way to the right one. May the Lord order your steps, connect you with the person he prepared for you in Jesus name 🙏
There's nothing wrong with you and the women in your bloodline. If you haven't been preparing for marriage until now. Then be grateful that your previous relationships didn't work out. So start preparing from today. It takes more than I love you to stay together.
ReplyDeletePoster you should be happy that the women in your family are getting married not that no man is coming for them at all. If you see this as a not so good pattern, go for deliverance and start doing prayers on yourself and your generation
ReplyDeleteif you have noticed a pattern, then it means it's probably there. Many times we explain things away. But life is more spiritual than physical. You need to pray if you are a Christian. Make prayer inquiries. Jer 33:3, says call to me and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know. So pls ask God to show you what you need to know.

ReplyDeleteIt is good you've noticed that pattern.
ReplyDeleteHowever, you need to be careful not to let the fear of that particular age push you into the wrong marriage, that will be misrable than marrying late.
I have a friend who had this mindset because ladies in her family don't get married till their thirties, she was so happý when she got married at 25 few years ago but that marriage was her biggest error in life.
Prayerfully stand against that pattern and remain calm.
