An assasination attempt was made on his life on Sunday August 25,2013 but it failed woefully and Rivers states Sports commissioner Igwe is still breathing...shame on whoever paid for that job!
The commissioner was in a Toyota Corolla with plate number GCG 11, when the gunmen overtook his vehicle around Akpajo area, and opened fire on him.

ReplyDeleteSports generally in Nigeria is as good as neglected. For someone to target this commissioner raises a lot of questions which, in my opinion, don't relate to Sports in Rivers State. Since the police have ruled out armed robbery attack, only the inner coccus can solve the mystery behind this attack, since most of our "mysteries" will remain unsolved by the authorities whether they want to or not. There are too many witches and wizards flying with no regards to airport control instructions in Rivers State. This Commissioner Igwe knows what he must do in other to stay alive, so let him do it (Remembering Marshal Harry and Funsho Williams). As for me, I'm sleeping with my two eyes shut.
