Cry cry ex governor Ai Modu was at it again yesterday.....crying in public has become his favourite past time...lol
Former governor of Borno State, Senator Dr. Ali Modu Sheriff could not hold back tears as thousands of Borno residents welcomed him on Monday at Maiduguri, the State capital.
Sheriff arrived at the Maiduguri International Airport, from where he proceeded to condole the Kashim Imam’s family over the lost of their mother.
The former Governor, who arrived the country on Sunday and left Abuja for Maiduguri on Monday, could not but shed tears when he saw the crowd that came to welcome him.
DailyPost reports that the crowd kept chanting, “Allahu Akabar”, (he who is with Allah is with the majority). “We are now better informed that the enemies of the people of Borno State have failed”.
The people who were overwhelmed were also falling over themselves to give him a hand shake.
Alhaji Goni Rawa, an APC stakeholder told DailyPost that “Sheriff is the father of Borno politics whether one likes it or not; the people of Borno State are better informed on the ongoing political schemes to smear the image of the former governor.
“Iif you look around, we are more of the APC than PDP here. We have come to welcome our son, a leader of Borno politics. We are all his students because we pass through his political classes. We are not worried by the politics going on at the national level. Tinubu, Lai Mohammed and Soyinka do not understand the politics in Borno. They were never part of us, as such they cannot appreciate the fact that man can always do what he thinks right but God Almighty will always vindicate the righteous.
“Ali Sheriff is a victim of political vendetta. The unfortunate thing is that those he nursed and brought to power are the ones fighting him, but he is more mature in his approach to everything happening around him, because he understands that it is politics and it will come to pass. If Sheriff is the wrong person, this crowd will not come to welcome him. The wrong people, we are living with them in the state and posterity is now judging them”.
Speaking on whether he could be part of those who are planning to dump the APC for PDP he said every member of the APC who came to the Airport to welcome the former governor is a potential PDP member only waiting for the former governor to finally make the big move.
