Tribute To Doctor Oluseun Fasawe‏

DR OLUSEUN FASAWE IS THE SON IN LAW TO EKITI DEPUTY GOVERNOR
AND A CLOSE COUSIN TO PASTOR ENOCH ADEBOYE OF THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD

''Just like yesterday we lost a rare gem. it's been 3 months since you left us Doctor Oluseun Fasawe, our very own 'Dr Fash' . It's still surreal and we miss you dearly.

Your amiable wife Dr Adedolapo Fasawe, and your lovely sons Oluwakayode and Ayomideji Fasawe will never forget you.

Dr Fash, you came, you saw, and you conquered. But sadly, and too soon, you had to bow out and surrender to the call of death. Who are we to question the Almighty God? However you left behind an indelible print in the sand of time, of which your numerous deeds and goodwill shall never be forgotten.

Since you passed to be with the Lord in glory it has not been an easy journey for the loved ones that you left behind. Especially as your dear wife and kids are yet to come to terms with the rude shock and the fact that they'll never see you again until Jesus. Your legacy lives and will perpetually live on in them. Our consolation.

Everyone including your friends and family have fond memories of you that will forever linger in our subconscious. We will never forget how you were a light of humour that lit joy to the despondent at heart. As well as your unique ways of putting smiles on the faces of those whom you came in close contact with. Dr Fash, you were simply indispensable. How could we ever forget you?

The last moments you had with everyone is such that can never be erased from all our minds. We had not the slightest incline that you would leave us so soon. Oh no we didn't. Oh death where is thy sting? But we find solace in the balm of Gilead to soothe all our pains. And we as firm believers of Christ trust God for your wife and kids. For we know that He that watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers.

I pray absolute healing from the cross upon the emotionally fatigued heart of your lovely wife who despite her grief has remained strong for her kids. And who also in her weary state of mind selflessly submits to the call of her job as a doctor to help fight the Ebola epidemic. I trust that God, the husband to the widow and father to the fatherless, will continue to comfort and be her companion in those quiet and soberly reflective moments that she would usually share with you her husband.

PASTOR ITUAH IGHODALO OFFICIATING AT THE BURIAL

Adedolapo, Seun did not die, but he lived until the 29th of May. I share your grief and your pains. But none of us except you will ever understand how you feel. I want you to know that you are a phenomenonal woman, a selfless being, and a caring wife and mother. Seun was lucky to have had you as his wife, Kayode and Deji are also lucky to have you as their mother. You are simply priceless. God will never leave you. He will wrap beneath you His everlasting arms of protection to carry you through the years to come. And HE, the Lord of Hosts, will continue to carry you and the kids for as long as Jesus tarries.

Oluseun, as you've joined the angels to obey God's biddings, may HE deliver you from the power of the grave. I pray for the repose of your soul. I pray that the sun which rises up above will shine over your back as you match into heaven.

Rest peacefully upon His bosom eternally till we meet again. Goodnight Dr Fash. Goodbye!

Though we pass through tribulation.
All will be well,
Ours is such a full salvation;
All, all is well.
Happy, still in God confiding,
Fruitful, if in Christ abiding,
Holy, through the Spirit’s guiding,
All must be well.

We expect a bright to-morrow;
All will be well,
Faith can sing through days of sorrow,
All, all is well.
On our Father’s love relying,
Christ our every need supplying,
Whether living now, or dying,

All must be well.

  17. His death left a big vacuum in our lives. Anyone who came in contact with "baba fasho" as we called him knew right away he was great. Very very nice guy, good humoured, gentle giant. We were in the university of Maiduguri together (though he a medical student). We have indeed lost an icon. RIP BABA FASHO.
