Policeman ALLEGEDLY Kill Nigerian Citizen Chibyke Edeh

Another young man felled by someone paid to protect him and the society....what a pity!..Read this mail.

''Good day people of this blog. Please I am bringing this news to you and hope you will help me find justice for Chibyke Edeh, a young man in his twenties that was recently shot dead by the police.

I know this guy personally as we belong to the same whatsapp group and we even nicknamed him chibok. What happened was that someone noticed he had not been active on thr group for a while and decided to go to facebook to ask him for his reasons only to see R.I.P messages on his wall.

So we tried to find out what happened. His brother told us that his company, Protea hotel in Benin had the police arrest him on accusation of theft on Friday. The police then asked the parents to go bring N27000 for his bail. By the time they got back with the money, they were told he had been shot dead by the police.

Till this very moment, the police haven't given any reason for killing the young man. The alleged police officer that shot him goes by the name Arishe. he is with the  area command, Benin.

Please let's help him get justice.

Any pro borno lawyers or lawyers willing to help should please call his brother Chibuzor on 08138821497.

    4. Stella I guess u decided not to publish the gory sight of this guy after he was bashed and mutilated by the police. I saw the full story and pictures on another site. And I can't get it out of my head. This guy was so destroyed before he died. Ahh, justice must be served because no one should be made to end the way they finished this boy. Anyone who has seen the pictures will understand what I'm saying. I think the matter should reach the federal govt because it is that very bad. Oh no no it is so unfair. I curse the perpetrators of such evil act meted on this boy, may God destroy them before sunset. That boy must have suffered great pains before he finally gave up. I am so sad and can't seem to do anything else again. Jesus wept

Efe, there's no two sides to this story.

The Police do not under any guise suppose to kill anybody that's in detention. Even if he's an armed robber. Kapish???

  4. Seriously. A theft in the Protea Hotel and not that the whole building was moved and he has not been proven guilty. They just killed him so that the police will be given an award or promotion of sort. Shame.

What training are people actually getting these days in their professional jobs.

    R.I.P Chibyke.

  6. Too bad, too sad!

    But why???

The annoying thing is, the fight for justice for the common man in Nigeria is next to zero.

May his soul rest in peace.

    1. Juicee chic....what other details do you want?and what is so incomplete about the story?
The main story here is that a young vibrant man was killed by the people that should supposedly look out for his welfare.
Even if this young man was guilty of whatever got him to the station.....he should go tru trial and not shot to death!!!

    2. Very incomplete. Accused of stealing, was arrested, then he was shot dead. How? Where we're d other inmates or cell mates when he was shot? How can one officer just walk into a cell and shoot a boy? What transpired? If he was beaten to death then it would've been easily digested.

  13. Rest in peace to the deceased
There's a lady fighting this battle for her late brother in benue, she called and cried on a radio station.after all her struggle for 2 years they took some innocent men in the cell and put on trial for the boys murder, she's still fighting now because those men are innocent and they wanted to execute them,i haven't heard the rest of that story.
I already feel bad because I see this going nowhere,in Nigeria the only way to get justice is to have a video record and put it on CNN.
Obviously our government only plans to please America and Europe it's citizens are animals after all.

  29. This unfortunate murder is becoming far too common. This young man,Chibyke, wasn't just murdered in extrajudicial fashion,he was tortured to death. He suffesuffered a deep facial cut and burns traversing the length of his back. All of these injuries were inflicted after he had been taken into custody, unarmed. We expect the police to come up with their usual story but we must hope and work for justice undeterred. The freedom the police now believes it has to take Nigerian lives under dubious pretexts (usually outright lies) should worry each and every one of us. The excessive use of deadly force regardless of the pretext needs to stop. Torture of the innocent and even the guilty needs to stop. Arresting people on payment by private individuals must stop. Any means you can use to spread the word about this incident, please do. Protea Hotel in Benin and the Nigerian Police Force have blood on their hands. Justice must be served.

    1. Very well said, Anon 18:51. Enough is enough. These sadistic beings with uniforms as dark as their souls need ti be brought to order. Like someone said above, it takes an embarrassing report on CNN for this government to twitch a muscle in matters like this. Can someone please start a petition or something with this story, and see how far that gets as we seek justice for him? Families of other victims can come together and this can gather momentum and get all the way to Amnesty international, etc. And that Hotel needs to be boycotted!

  30. Juice chick you are so irritating with your silly comments...if it's a post on gossip or men and sex you will have plenty to say...what more information do you want? Even if he stole his life should not be cut short without trial....May God give the family justice and comfort them.......RIP

  31. OMG! Some comments here makes me query the mental capabilities of some blog visitors.

A young man has just been cut down in his prime and some people are asking for other sides of the story or the complete story.

Which other side or complete side justifies the killing of an innocent man until he's proven guilty.

Some people really need their heads to be examined.

    RIP chibok boy.
