It's time we dust the ashes of Biafra and move on. The war left igbos bitter and broken (please don't bite me) and it's not cool.
Seems it's not all pain that time heals.

  11. It will fall in 2 days (2 years) time right? Go ahead and celebrate the rise of Biafra.

A very selfish decision that doesn't end the death of Igbos in northern Nigeria but lead to genocide in the eastern part.
Watch a clip of any the documentary and you will weep for atrocities. Biafra kindly don't rise again!

He had a son he named Ozoemezia.

  26. RIP to the the dead.
Emeka Ike's sunset in Biafra opened my eyes to the brutality of the Biafran war at the tender age of nine. Although my parents told me about their experience, more like glossed over the tale, maybe because they didn't want to relive what they went through, or fill the mind of a child with horror stories that shouldn't even be imagined, the little they told me was chilling enough.
No matter how much we want to, we cannot wish it away, it happened and too many people died on both sides, but more on the Biafrian side as it involved women and children who starved to death.
We remember them today, and say God rest their souls. Never again should the blood of the innocent be callously and brutally shed on the altar of 'I no go gree'.
    Long live Nigeria.

    1. Same way my grand ma remembers stories of how biafran soldiers occupied our town (Ore) on their way to lagos, raped young girls, took young men captive while bragging to them that the young men will be their "agbepo" (shit packer) when they win the war. What were they going to do in Lagos by the way? Just shows their struggle was not sincere.
You guys always like playing the victim after looking for trouble and get burned.

    2. Anon. You and your Grandma should shut up and stop lying. Who went to Lagos? When?

    3. Anon sorry for what your grandma went through, the innocents are usually the victims. I didn't write to play the victim or be pitied, I just don't want it to happen again, 'cos at the end it's not worth it.
You don't wish history away, you learn from it.

    4. We all read about the Jewish holocaust, the Rwandan genocide, Bosnian ethnic cleansing e.t.c, and cringe at the cruelty of man to man. But this one at our backyard we cannot look at it in eye say it was wrong, instead we sneer and say they deserve it.
I don't care about Biafra now and am not clamouring for it, but I do care that people died fighting for it and I say may their souls rest in peace.

I think my brothers and sisters clamouring for cessation are delusional. How many are ready to go all out? On what bases? As someone said, ideologies have changed and all. Lets remember the heros and move on, make alaigbo and Nigeria our ideal Biafra.

    5. For all u pple dt said they were not on d way to d west. What was d battle in ore about? And why did awolowo decide to change naira thereby starving d biafrans as minister of finance? Ojukwu was feeling smart and overplaying his hand. He has seen ode pple he wants to occupy their land. Biafra was creeping into d midwest (edo & delta state) and into d southwest.

And to top it all, after killing millions he snuck out at night and didnt even tell his deputy phillip effiong , he was running away. According to effiong he cldnt even look him in d eyes & lied he was going to look for weapons. lol. You shld read effiongs account of d civil war & not all d lies they told u pple. By d end of dt war if ojukwu had not run away, his fellow igbos wld have killed him & not d Nigerian govt. They were all tired of him. FAKE, WEAK, COWARD. If u take pple to war for a cause, and 3m pple die, u better fight to d end and die. Not runaway wt resources & live a life of luxury in another land. MSCHEEEEW! May he not be resting in peace.

    6. Nemerem stop being stupid! That u don't care about it doesn't mean that others don't. People fought and died for this course a lot of people still believe in the course and really want to see it come to pass for obvious reasons. When was the last time Nigeria had an igbo president? Why pretend about the unity of Nigeria when deep down u know it doesn't exist. Biafra can only be delayed but not denied. BIAFRA MUST STAND. This time tru a peaceful agreement.

  27. We do not love ourselves as a tribe we are talking about Biafra.
People should STOP wasting their time with Biafra, oduduwa,Mend nonsense makes no sense.
Anambra hate Imo people,Anambra hate enugu people,Imo hate Abia people Mbaise people are regarded as outcast in igbo land. What's the need for the Igbo separation? makes no sense at all.
Some jobless igbo brothers will be looking for people to invite for nonsense meeting in Europe who got time for such gathering.
We Igbo's should drop our tribal sentiment, join hands with other tribes for better Nigeria. Everyone lost in the war no need dwelling in the past. We can not have a better chance in the entity called Nigeria if we continue to be myopic and always crying like babies. Time to move on and join other tribes to create a better Nigeria. We have create so much hatred among ourselves, we are too tribalistic YES we are ours are worst than others. We need to drop the anger toward others with positive attitude igbo's will do better than we are already doing.
Whatever hatred we have towards others today was created by our parents. Will i continue to dwell in the past? NO. My parents lost everything they had during the war in port harcourt, with such bad stories from our folks we can't continue to harbour same hatred 4 decades later.
    Move on and forget Biafra.

    2. Jay Moore I have always known you don't have sense but I didn't know it was this bad. If the USSR could break into smaller countries, why can't Nigeria separate? If the Igbos want their independence why shouldn't they be allowed? After all Nigeria being together was one Man's idea, I wonder what's the big deal with separating into smaller countries or independent states. If Buhari lost the elections, do you think a northerner would spare your life in a riot even if you carried Buhari on your head like gala. Even though we don't like each other as a tribe we don't go about burning churches or people because they are infidels. The past election only proved how much of a hoax "one Nigeria" is.

      Delete
    3. Hahahahahaha @anonymous 22.29 nonentity you want to create a country like former USSR did right? Who's going to support you? Who will loose if such mini Biafra state is created of course the igbo's as we have investment all of Nigeria compare to other tribes. So Mr anonymous get some sense because your own sense failed you totally. Togetherness in every situation is man made what do you expect? Ojukwu that took our people to war is also man made. Just imagine igbo's not going to war years ago don't you think your tribe could have had more citizens than other tribes apart from the North? war that took more than 2.5million igbo innocent lives is what you are asking for again. I also lost a brother during the war apart from my parents properties. Where is our hero that took us to war today? He had a better life abroad and took our poor parents to war to fight a nation without outside real support. They only built locally made ammunitions to fight a government with aircrafts and warships.
Why didn't you start your 2rd war the past years what you waiting for? Do you think a man like me will support such war stupid? We are not ignorant like our fathers and grand fathers to go into another stupid war that will create a divided Nigeria. You are igbo person first love your fellow igbo's before you talk about having a country called Biafra. You are free to return back to show your shallowness and ignorance. Blabbing about USSR that is more developed than any part of Nigeria. By the way can you fight war? Can you carry a gun or have you seen live ammunition before? Where you even born during the last war because i have seen teenagers talking about war without knowing it's repercussions. If you read your history well or watch films about the Biafra war you won't compare USSR peaceful separation to Biafra war. Try and create your own group in the east and start fighting like MEND let's see how long your war will last. As today is Biafra remembrance day i use today to remember those innocent igbo citizens pushed into unnecessary war, i called it unnecessary because what they fought for still exist today.

    7. Uzia, is that why you can't spell simple intelligent? Cos you don't know it when it's starring at you... Jay I'm just wondering where you got your facts from but you need to get them right for your sake... 1) remembering fallen heroes is not a crime 2) nobody is calling for war 3) if you think one Nigeria is the in thing you're disillusioned because if Jonathan had won the election the northerners would've started killing the Igbo's not minding Jonathan is Niger Delta and you were a die hard fan of Buhari 4) In as much as everybodyeverybody is preaching one Nigeria as a human being you need to know that humans are not loyal which means may be just maybe something happens and war starts you are going to be killed because you're Igbo and nobody will care if you were preaching one Nigeria so please get your loyalty straight before you'll be overly disappointed (I believe in one Nigeria but I've been to all the geopolitical zones in Nigeria except the North East I've studied the people so i know tribalism hence I know where I stand) 5) Igbo's were been killed first before they started killing back... Their assets outside the east ceased, bank accounts frozen and you know what the world did? They watched while the Igbo's died!! That brings me back to getting your loyalty in check! One Nigeria but don't be ignorant

    3. Anon 21:14. Go to your archives, ask people who know, stop whipping up emotions, use ur sense. OJUKWU allowed himself to b smuggled out whn federal forces closed in on him. Dat was d only time he surrendered. Azikwe and some notable ibos warned him, but no. He was power drunk, high on becoming 'the saviour'. Money, ammunition, allies and other essentials were lacking, yet a British trained soldier with all of his strategic training went to war with an opposition that was clearly ahead of him. When will u guys face d truth?! The smart ibos left early to lagos and dey are d ones u see today colonizing lagos. And yes he ran away, taking along his 'Mercedes benz'.

      Delete
    4. Ojukwu used Ibo's and ran away like a coward when he saw that time was up. A captain sinks with his ship. He started the war and starved kids to feed soldiers. He wanted to be head of state at all cost and it cost the lives of 3million. No one but Ojukwu murdered Ibo's by taking them into a failed struggle with a lot of propaganda. When it looked like he would die, he fled and preserved his life. Sorry for the fools idolizing Ojukwu. If your parents sincerely thought Ojukwu was a savior, why did he never win a political office after the war??? Older Igbo's know the truth, but pride will not make them admit defeat. They were soundly defeated and misled to a war because of a young man's ambition and greed. I advice you to stop following no listening to liars who tell stories on radio. When you lose your life, they will run abroad to save theirs and come and live in the same Nigeria, claiming one Nigeria. Never follow anyone to your grave. Na one by one we come this life. So make anyone wey wan die, go to battle alone and die there. No one else is falling for the lies. Only Igbo's out of defeated pride keep lying to themselves

The Biafra pressure group has been invited for a meeting with the United Nations in June this year in respect of the referendum they are demanding for to determine whether the SE&SS still want to continue being a part of this country, Nigeria. SO IT'S REALITY IS WITHIN REACH.

  32. Yoruba are not pained. In fact they want you to leave Nigeria already. Just like what happened during the Biafra war, the Igbos want the Yorubas to be their allies, but the Yorubas don't want to be allies of the Igbos because Yorubas are not stupid and don't believe in fighting other peoples battles. Yorubas are smart people that fight their own battles. Igbo people go and start your Bisfra and leave other tribes out of your woes.
