Yesterday Punch published a list of people whose company borrowed from Bnaks and have refused to pay back.
One of those 'fingered' was Hon.Abike Dabiri and since her name was published,she has been crying wolf and trying to correct the story.
Yesterday she used her twitter handles to deny the story and even went further to write Punch........

RE: EMEKA OFFOR, ABIKE DABIRI’S FIRMS, OTHERS OWE BANKS N143.81BN
I was thoroughly embarrassed to see my picture on the front page of Punch Newspaper that Thriller Endeavor Company, claiming me as a director, owes about 100 Million Naira to Diamond Bank.
I know nothing about the said company, Thriller Endeavor, or its activities, as mentioned in the publication.
If the company claims I am a director in the said bank, then it has definitely done so without my knowledge and without my permission. If this is the case it’s a case of fraud and will have to be brought to the attention of relevant security agencies, the bank in question, and the Central Bank of Nigeria.
I once again state categorically that the company (Thriller Endeavour) is not known to me.
As a vey contented person, I owe nobody any money, not even myself.

@ SMT, u obviously speak out of ignorance. I have seen it happen before and it is still happening. CAC does not conduct any form of investigation when registering companies. U can put anybody's name as director in a company. That is y u see pple use even their unborn children's names as company directors. As for the bank, am sure they just lifted the names they published from the company registration papers and published without knowing the woman's name was fraudulently added as a company director.

Both Punch and the bank will be held liable. Punch should have carried out an independent investigation before printing. So it means anyone can send unfounded crap to them and they'll just publish? No, I don't think so. They have a legal line to follow as well.

Abike Dabiri should have just quickly sorted herself out before the names were published, At least that's what the likes of Otedola, Dangote and the big names we were all expecting on the list did. All these memos and tweets from her can't save face anymore.

A suit will force out the documents that will establish the truth from abike,punch the bank involved. Accusing her of owning a company she doesn't own just to rubbish her is not a tort but crime...criminal defamation. She should stop all the drama and prove her innocent rather than diverting attention from the matter to her person
Same way some teachers were wrongly accused in Ogun state.
