TRYING TO CONCEIVE (TTC)....THE LONG WAIT
Trust all is well with you. I woke up this morning feeling down as a result of my TTC situation of years. Its has not been a smooth journey. After my first HSG, I was diagnosed with bilateral tubal occlusion, I had to go through the process of tubal flushing only to be told I was misdiagnosed.
After further test another doctor diagnosed polyps as the cause of infertility. To hear my doctor say there is no treatment I should just go for IVF and hearing another doctor tell me conception is impossible is the worst report any woman should hear. In all, I have found strength in the word of God and laughter from your blog.
Like earlier today I was feeling depressed and was reading through yesterday's posts, I got to the Fun post, what song would you like to dedicate to your ex, I got to BV DVICTORIOUS EHIS3 comment, "Dnt knw d artist but its "bye bye to jati jati,bye bye to lege lege in d NAME of Jesus bye bye to jati jati" and I found myself laughing and crying at the same time, that's the kind of joy I get from blog. God bless you ma.
I decided to share my story to seek help not only from the doctors in the house but from personal experiences.
My questions are as follows?
1. What alternative forms of treatment are available for someone with polyps, attached is a copy of my last test result.
2. Treatment for watery sperm.
3. Is saliva really harmful to sperm? Is there anyone who has had oral sex before the main business and still conceived?

DeleteMy sis waited for 7 years before God answered her prayers. God is the God of impossibility. The bible said that no woman shall be barren or be without children. I ve heard of a case where a woman without womb conceived. Medically it was so confusing to her doctor cos the scan always showed the baby growing till she put to bed and she gave her testimony in the church. There is nothing God cannot do. The power in HIS divinity is not limited by age. It goes beyond medical lab results and postulations. HIM alone has the power to give children. To every woman out there waiting for the fruit of the womb, all I can tell u is PUSH ( pray until something happens). May God wipe ur tears with twins soonest.

Stay easy and be calm. The best is yet to come dear.
Also remember that tough times never last but tough people do.
Speak positively to yourself.
Get a notepad. Write the sex of the baby you would love to have first, write names you would love to call your child. Rub your tummy each time call out your baby's name and say...U will soon be born.

ReplyDeleteAmen to that sis. Been on this journey for over 5 years now, had 1 misscariage 3 years ago, nothing has happened since then. It has not been easy. But am hopeful and i believe i will conceive soon. Baby dust to all the women TTC. I reside in lagos but not around at the moment.

Well on Thursday I was humbled. I chop sweet beans my mama cook last week. I come go work on Thursday. Remember I too dey form fine babe I wear tight skirt today to show off my nyash. All was well when I went to work but on may way back from work I just noticed some rumbling and discomfort in my tummy.
I tried to ignore it but the rumbling got worse. I dey inside staff bus at the time but I just dey sweat. I still dey do fine babe but the purging was getting worse and worse. I couldn't ignore it anymore and had to come down from the bus and flag down an okada to quickly take me back to d place because I knew that if I no reach house soon I go shit for body. The shit be like say na the runny time cos I found it really hard to hold on. Plus na white tight skirt I wear that day. I did not dare mess.
I just dey to pray to God may I no embarrass myself for public.
Men I f**ked up big time. I first of shit small ontop the bike I just couldn't hold it in again. As I was trying to pay the bike man I pooed again in my white panties. I tried to form like nothing was happening. As I was walking to my gate I released another wave of the soft poo. Infact I was pooing all the way to my gate and my front door. See embarrassment, the bike man was just looking at me. Remember it was a white tight skirt I wore.
Before I reached my toilet I don shit for body finish. Men I doubledare anybody to hold that kind runny shit, no hope.
I was humbled on that day. Fine babe way shit for pant on top okada. I have since learned not to play with beans again

DeleteThis I can explain... You are right it's an infection . This infection is caused by a good bacteria found in the mouth that is transferred during oral sex to your vagina( which then turns into a bad bacteria as a result of changes in its core habitat) this infection has a name that starts with the letter 'S' not sure how to spell it. Go for a swab test and you will get a diagnosis as well as an antibiotics to relieve the symptoms. Go easy on the oral kpanching!!!!

I even started using their names as a password before they came. I bought a buggy and if i saw any baby things i like i also bought.
ReplyDeletebefore u say am just making mouth...I was 9 years TTC and in between I had 4 miscarriages, operation for fibroids and 3 failed IVFs...I had done all kinds of test u can think of cos anytime I went to hospital it was one thing or the other. fibroids even started to regrow after the surgery I had but I told God that even if the fibroid got bigger than an elephant any pregnancy will manage the space. i did not and refused to entertain the thought of a second surgery....quess what? God blessed me with twins last year through IVF to the glory of his name. and also guess what? during the CS the doctor removed fibroids...the devil is a liar. Start believing and speaking only what God says about you. Was I discouraged along the way? yes but did I let it weigh me down? No....
so babe pls stop even thinking about what polyps mean....give that report to God like king Hezekiah did and just begin to praise him, you will see his glory....

If u are a xtian, make sure u give an offering on behalf of the children every time u give urs, get the book YOU SHALL NOT BE BARREN by Bishop Oyedepo, pray prayers of agreement with ur hubby daily, annoint ur womb daily and read psalm 127 daily. I will join my faith with yours and this time next year u shall testisty with ur twin children. God bless u dear

ReplyDeleteOn what basis were you counselled for IVF? The bilateral tubal blockage or the polyp? A 4mm paracervical mass (?polyp) can't ever be a reason to conclude that natural conception is impossible and it's not an indication for IVF. So, if you have polyp within your cervix or uterus, treatment is to excise it. A minor procedure by hysteroscopy....you won't even need to sleep over in the hospital. What do you mean by "flushing"? If you have tubal blockage diagnosed by HSG which may be false positive (bcos of tubal spasm during the procedure), then next step is to do laparoscopy with a dye test which should confirm or disprove the HSG finding. If you have not done this, then go ahead. Then we have to be sure of your husband's status (semen) which you didn't categorically tell us though you asked related questions. We are more interested in other semen parameters like volume, pH, concentration/count, motility, morphology, viability etc than "wateriness" of semen popularized by yemkem, oko oloyun and co. No woman deserves to be infertile by God and science in today's world. If you have bilateral tubal blockage, go for IVF and embryo transfer (except in very few cases, amenable to tubal surgery). If your husband has semen issues, Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) or Intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection (IMSI) will help. Never mind the big names, they are relatively new IVF techniques. Lastly, fellatio is not a cause of infertility. Goodluck.

This is the same advice I received from one of the best gynaecology consultants in London - Dr Christian Barnick. He works for the best private hospital The Portland in London and is also the HOD for a NHS gyne and obs department. Six weeks after a laparoscopy I fell pregnant naturally, even though I was given the same prognosis as you. Thanks Dr. For your brilliant advice.God be your strength.
DeletePoster you know polyps can be removed right. I had a problem with fibroids and polyps and my gynaecologist was able to remove them by using a procedure called hysterectopy. It's an instrument with a camera which is quicker and easier. I'm in the UK by the way. I think you should visit another doctor unless your polyps are in a place where it will be difficult to remove them. Don't give up hope

ReplyDeleteDear Poster, i do not know about other things u complained about but as for POLYPS, IT CAN NEVER STOP YOU FROM CONCEIVING. Excision of polyps is a very minor procedure and u may not even need to sleep over in the hospital. I was diagnosed of polyps last year and got it removed....BTW, I am a mother of two beautiful kids.

In all, that's the Doc's negative report for you, reject it and claim the promises of God for ur life. HE says NONE shall be barren in the land and I am sure you are part of those HE referred to as NONE. Hold unto his promises and you will birth ur babies sooner than u expect.
