Staphylococus Aureus And What The Docs Said..
Good day Stella I'm a lady, jenny, I live in lagos, 26 years old doing an MSC program here. In January I noticed some little boils on my skin which turned reddish den later brought out a little pus and dried up. They always left black spots n affected my thighs mostly. I took some antibiotics but I noticed whenever I get done with the drugs the boils sprouts again.
I proceeded to the lab, did hiv and swab test. The hiv came back negative. The swab showed growth of staphyloccocus aureus and coliform. I went to the pharmacy bought d prescribed drugs took it but after a while the boils started again. So I went back for a blood culture it came back as staph aureus. Since den I've been on different antibiotics augumentin, ciprofloxacin, clauvolin, gentamycin. I ve taken all to no avail.
The reddish swelling stops den starts again. I have so many spots on my thighs and back now I went to a teaching hospital and I told d doctors I met my symptoms, they asked me to repeat d hiv test n vdrl (syphillis) test. They both came back negative. I gave the doctors my history without them asking. I told them I did test in a private lab and I have staph in my blood and private area.
The doc said staph is every where on the skin,on surfaces n so it can't be the problem and that the tests I did outside are wrong. So far three doctors in dis teaching hospital has told me staph isn't d cause of my symptoms. I am really confused because I have read extensively about staph infection-it can be very difficult to cure, very resistant n can get fatal if it gets to the brain and it damages organs of the body and this boils (furunculosis) that come out on my skin is one of the symptoms of staph .
Yet the doctors refused sending me for any test that will confirm the staph infection. They started giving antibiotics allover again, drugs I have taken b4 during self medication without result. So I'm really confused and very scared. I don't want mine to get fatal, (God forbid). For now I m not sexually active.
Please I'm throwing this questions to the public, don't cuss me out. Just place a comment as to how I can get treated totally of stubborn resistant Staphylococus aureus and where I can go for this treatment with addresses and phone numbers. Thanks a lot for helping a sister. God bless SDK family.
All these quack doctors in Nigeria sef...boils sometimes are caused by heat but since you have been taking drugs to no avail, why don't you use herbal medicine...
ReplyDeleteSome of them works...
Go and buy Goko cleanser or chukatrin cleanser, they are herbal drugs and they kinda works
Delete@poster2 : go 4 native drugs aka ogwu igbo/yoruba

DeleteThe lady with the fibroid. Contact me on bn pin 561202EB. I just had mine removed on Friday and was discharged today. It's the best decision I took after years of taking herbs without success. Albeit the scan that showed 8, 42 myeomas were taken out. Doctor is over qualified. I was not given any blood transfusion and got a bikini cut. Add me up and I'll give you more details. Plus, he is very affordable!

ReplyDeletePoster 1, I know someone who removed fibroids in 2007 and she did hers at Light Hospital, Egbeda. Well, when I went to visit her, she told me it took her more than 3 months to recover and that's because malaria and typhoid set in and it made her immune system weak. Anyway, her sister had hers done this year, about 5 months ago and it took her just a month to recover. In fact, she travelled to Anambra two weeks after the surgery. It all depends on the body. She had hers removed at Standard Life hospital, Abule Egba. If you can send me an email, I will give you the gynecologist's number. Will call her now and I'd have the number in a jiffy. Removal of fibroids isn't the end of the world, just have faith and I know all will be well in Jesus' Name, amen. E-hugs to you. Stella, please post

Trust God for successful surgery. Roms. 10: 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
My dear go the herbal way. Most times our system gets used to the drugs we take and so it doesn't take effect.

ReplyDeletePoster 1. Are you married and ready to start having kids? If yes you can go ahead and do the surgery. If no, please don't bother taking it out because if you don't get pregnant the fibroids would regrow. I wonder why our doctors don't tell patients this fact but are too eager to collect money.
ReplyDeleteI know Save a life clinic in PH.
Mother and child hospital in Ikeja lagos, Kupa medical ajao estate lagos.

Hmmmm it is really difficult to to treat
ReplyDeletedear, staphylococcus spp is mostly on the surface of the skin, but that does not mean it doesnt cause some infections too. it can be found in wound swabs, throat swabs, urine and even hvs and they are pathogenic too. yes they are difficult to cure, maybe u should give urself a break with regards antibiotics. it is obvious u are now resistant to most commonly used drugs. my advice is to watch the water u use,put dettol in it, try and keep clean always. you can resume treatment after 6 months.
ReplyDeletePlease my urine smell badly lately, its embarrassing,i have gone to the hospital the didn't help much gave me prescriptions which did not yield any help. Does anybody know what I can do
ReplyDeleteYou've got uti. Try d-mannose supplement if you can find it or cranberry juice. Google too
DeleteDrink at least 10 sachets of water on a daily basis. Stop any other liquid that is not water. In a week or two you will see a change. DON'T TAKE ANY MEDICATION again.
DeleteIt is well...Jesus fix it
ReplyDeleteHmm,it is well. Some things I read here are scary.
ReplyDeleteU will see help by God's grace.
ReplyDeleteTopaz clinic in surulere..Naira1.4mil.. in the 3rd week of recovering...no more pain
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry poster 2 but I had to laugh when you wrote' for now I'm not sexually active'. Even a dunce would have enough restraint to hold on until your issues were sorted.
Or were you supposed to be while carrying an epidemic between your thighs?
If you can afford it, go abroad and get qualified advice. I always feel I'm one feet closer to the grave when I unfortunately have to step into a Nigerian hospital.

ReplyDeleteMay God heal you all.
ReplyDeleteThe person with SStaphylococcus u are luck u had it on ur thighs. I had it on my face and naija dr kept injecting me for 7 days and it'll reappear. When I moved to Canada, I saw a dermatologist and he prescribed Doxycyclin for 10 days with food and the staph disappeared asap and never came back. It's aggravated by dirty water. If u pump from the ground, boil b4 bathing and drink only bottled water. Comment undet this post if u need more infor.
ReplyDeletePoster 2:
ReplyDeleteIndeed, certain staph species are considered normal flora, of the human body; Example Staph Epi. Depending on the location of where the specimen is collected from, Staph aureus can be considered a contaminat or a threat to health.
Blood is sterile, there should be no micro organism present wheat cultured. Your blood culture came out positive which is indicative of some type of bacteria flowing through your veins. The case here is Staph aureus. This organism can be potentially lethal especially the variant form called MRSA. You need to go see a qualified doctor, ensure that to request for a MRSA requisition form to take to the Lab for testing.
This is no joke, if truly tour blood culture came out postive with this organism- you are a tool short from becoming septic.
Hurry to a qualified doctor. Good luck.
For poster number 2, staph eradication is something Most Nigerian doctors are clueless about. I was in same situation, not as bad as yours though.
ReplyDeleteGoogle MRSA eradication cos I can't really go into details, I hate typing. Essentially, what you are to do is a bleach bath. And apply mupirocin ointment if you are a nasal carrier, in your nostrils and all affected parts.
Good luck .

ReplyDeleteWhat type of fibroid is it? Location? Size?
All fibroid surgeries aren't the same. Depending on the answers above, you want to make sure the doctor has great outcomes. The biggest problem is bleeding! Go to someone who does laparoscopic myomectomy! It's better than the open one, where they cut you open! You heal faster and less chance of complications!
Poster 2
Have you had a blood test? They should check your blood sugar levels actually. I believe you may be diabetic. This is a common reason for this...,
I have submucous and intramural 10 cm and 9 cm each and subserosal 3 each 3 cm. Afraid of surgery but tired of herbal extracts. I have two miscarriages, waist and back pain, heavy menstrual flow and frequent urge to urina
ReplyDeleteAnon, you will wait till eternity. Don't go and remove it surgically, be there waiting for herbs. One more thing, shame on you for going under anonymous to say bullshit.
ReplyDeleteAkpa akpu. You have key to good health. Oloriburuku. As far as the Great Physician is up there and still answers prayers, you are not God. Have you gone for scan already how many have you removed. Agadi Nwanyi babe, you won't respect your age
DeleteNot sure if this post will be enabled as its late but change all your undies, as in, burn up your panties and tights, use like 2 pants during the treatment and burn them up afterwards to avoid reoccurrence. Talking from experience
