  2. It does happen, and a large percentage of women are carried away by the glamour and pepper Dem lifestyle, forgetting to do the necessary findings before accepting the ring.

Gone are the days when parents go to any length to their findings about their children suitors cause the "WOKE" children will not allow them to.

If a man is too perfect then there must be something wrong somewhere

    1. She got carried away with greed and was covetous as she didn’t want to loose all of that to another woman if not just like he said, at 33urs without a wealthy or rich parent, his wealth is questionable. I have no pity for her. She should deal with it.

No matter what your husband/boyfriend do to you, woman you don't have to slap him because it is domestic violence. Why not be a classy lady and walk away?

    1. I know you are trying to be "hip and trendy", but since you've spelled everything else (minus yacht) correctly, why not just spell 'quiet' as it is intended?!

Also, I know you're trying to discredit the story because she mentioned a private yacht, but there are commercial yachts and boats, so there's nothing wrong in making the distinction. Go to any touristy city that has a body of water, and people can buy tickets to take a journey, along with everyone else, around the river/sea. Dubai, Miami, Nice, NYC, London and co.

Lastly, read yesterday's B.E.P. thread. The number of times the word "cultist" comes up is alarmingly high, so this story isn't that far fetched.

      Delete
    2. SMH, stop exaggerating. The word "cultist" came up only THREE times on a post with over 100 comments. How is 3 alarmingly high?!

It has been an honour to keep you pressed and bothered!!!

  9. Let her enjoy it. They look for handsome, rich etc but do not bother to seek God's face or even when they seek, do not want a negative answer.

I don't envy people with wealth because you don't know what sacrifices they made whether in God Almighty or the devil to be where they want to be and achieved.

Most will tell you hard work and Gods help. Which of the gods... They won't tell.

Maybe true story or not, people will still tap at that sweet life you want to run away.

Abeg make everyone find wetin go make them happy

What stops him from telling her or anyone he's interested in that he doesn't want to fathered any child?
She allows material wealth and enjoyment to overtake her intuition. She should have known that there's cockroach in his cupboard when he ignores her question.

At this point, she should stay put and pray her way out cause that is the way she can be freed.

I can understand correcting huge mistakes but not this nit picking minor mistakes. As long as you can understand what they are saying, read and jog on. Not everyone speaks or writes perfect english...doesnt mean they cannot participate.

  18. I honestly keep saying I don't want too much money and that goes to the man I will marry, if he is after too much money, I no do. I just want a comfortable, simple life with our two kids. You see that luxurious lifestyle? I don't want it. I just want the basic things in life. That's why I want to live in a developed country, where I don't need to have so much to belong. So help me God.

  22. Looking at the comments, you'll think all women who marry poor men are living happy lives and are popping out babies.

Don't go and end up with a poor no ambition man just because of stories like this. There are well to do men who are honest and hardworking or who inherited wealth from their parents.

Seek God when looking for a marriage. Do your investigations. Make sure he has an identifiable source of income. He doesn't have to be Richie Rich. Ensure he has the right qualities of a good family head.

    2. tell them...as if a rich person is a curse. the real issue here is praying, listening and observing more. courtship ios not a time to sleep and just enjoy the lovey duvey alone...seek God and pray especially if they look very perfect. trust me some broke fine guys have looked too perfect and turned out to be abusers, same with some average Joes.

  25. So does this story mean we should settle for poor men or average men, does it mean all rich men are bad, evil and all women who marry poor men have peace of mind,,?? Infact poverty is what makes some men do some crazy things, they take some drastic decisions cos of poverty.the thing is just be with someone that u can tell their source of income and it matches their lifestyle.always ask questions.stop forming I trust my husband.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, it means we should pray and commit all thing to God before we make a decision. Also, when we see signs, we shouldn't ignore them but probe further. When people tell us negative things about our partners to be, we should find out if it is true and not just dismiss them as haters.

      Delete
  26. The role of prayers before and in marriage cannot be over emphasised. Youths of these days should learn not to be too "woken" than their creator.

Things happen.. Pray pray and pray some more. God will reveal things to you through dreams, revelations, his servants, the Word or your gut feelings. Just be spiritually sensitive.

A word is enough for the wise.

Now of someone has already entered into such a situation, what can she do? Oh pray. Pray like your life depends on it. Go and fasting and prayer retreat and seeks God's mercy and help. Be persistent and tenacious.

Our God is merciful and hears heartfelt prayers and requests. He is make a way of escape if you seek him continously. Cheers... 😘😘

  27. Hmmmmmm.
If only she followed God's direction.it wouldn't have happened, she would not have entered into this type of marriage. Only God can help her.
Same thing happened to someone i know, bciz of poverty she married a rich dude. Unfortunately the man wanted to sacrifice her, nobi small prayer her mother fired that period, she came out of that marriage by the grace of God.

Everyone shld marry with God's direction. Its very important.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Those whose only motivation for marrying is wealth, the fast lane, have no moral right to complain. I am never moved by their pity stories. You see a decent young man , clean, handsome, genuinely working hard in the civil service/ private sector, you go out of your way to humiliate him, degrade him. These days, it's he is not up to my standard/class and you settle for self made men. unfortunately poor girls who were raised in poverty ridden homes are the ones mostly doing the nonsense

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. you definitely one of those who think every girl should be grateful a man is toasting her.when girls turn down your advances you become philosophers and start giving fake statistics. who told you only girls from poor homes want to marry rich men..nothing wrong in marrying a self made man who has good qualities. we have seen broke men turn out beasts after they marry and come into small money. the issue here is whoever you marry, pray and look well. rich or poor you will make mistakes.

  29. Hmmm...life is like a stubborn goat..
Some women just don't care how their hubbies made their money,so far they're living the life and peppering their haters and village people.
Two women were discussing abt another woman that her hubby is very rich.one said the kind of money the man has isn't ordinary, that she suspects he's into ritual. The other one said "ha! Abeg where them dey do this kind ritual make my own husband go join o,I no mind so far money dey come". So the quest for slaying has taken some women to this situation this poster is in now.

  33. Well, truth is, many ladies will fall for this trap even after reading this story. And in a way, I don’t blame them. As a woman myself I know the desire -on the average- of every woman to lean towards a guy that’ll give her comfort and security in wealth.

It’s not the lady’s fault. From her narration, they met at a business event meaning she was not doing bad for herself as well.

More and more men (and women) are resorting to desperate measures to get wealth. IG sef and celebrity lifestyle not helping.

May God help us. It’s safe to say marry someone you know, pray before committing, listen and watch out for any red flags but most importantly, ask God to give you a settled, peaceful, loving home. ‘Cause many people in bad marriages thought they they made the right choice until it went awry.

May God see the poster through. I feel bad for her.

  37. Most of these occult give a choice of 2 out of these 3: long life, wealth, kids. Most choose wealth and either kids or long life. If they choose kids, then they surely die young, if they choose. One life, they tragedy starts befalling their kids if they already had them.
