Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who was better on his computer. They had been going at it for days, and God was tired of hearing all of the bickering.
ReplyDeleteFinally God said, “Cool it. I am going to set up a test that will run two hours and I will judge who does the better job.”
So Satan and Jesus sat down at their keyboards and typed away. They moused. They did spreadsheets. They wrote reports. They sent faxes. They sent e-mail. They sent out e-mails with attachments. They downloaded. They did some genealogy reports. They made cards. They did every known job. But ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, the rain poured and, of course, the electricity went off.
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld. Jesus just sighed. The electricity finally flickered back on and each of them restarted their computers.
Satan started searching frantically, screaming, “It’s gone! It’s all gone! I lost everything when the power went out!”
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours. Satan observed this and became irate. “Wait! He cheated,” Satan said. “How did he do it?”
God shrugged and said, “Jesus saves.”

ReplyDeleteThis is because that is the prime age for adult men to swoop in and groom them. By adult, I'm not only talking about men in their 30s, 40s or 50s. I'm also talking of men in their 20s.
You need to know that a 21 year old man can groom your daughter. When you hear grooming, you no suppose dey think 50 year old paedophile. Undergrads who will be flocking around your teen trying to impress her. Corpers. Nwa boyi. Young yahoo boys. Etc
Thing is, your teen girl is very malleable at that stage and will fall in love with a fine adult guy if he asks her out. But the thing is, she'll likely end up getting groomed.
Because she is young and naive, she can be manipulated and controlled emotionally, financially, sexually and otherwise.
Adult men groom young girls and shape them into women who become comfortable with abuse. And the worst part is, girls groomed at an early age find it difficult/impossible to detach themselves. They are not only more susceptible to abuse, they are more likely to not even know they are being abused, to see abuse as a norm, and be unwilling to leave abusive situations.
You have to keep an eye out especially when she enters 13/14. It is not a matter of "be friends with your kids so they'll tell you everything". No matter how friendly and open you are with them, there are some things your kids will never tell you. We were all kids once na.
Your teenage daughter won't tell you the choirmaster is asking her out. Or the new corper is asking her out.
If your teen daughter must date, it is better she dates her fellow teen. Both are naive. Both are inexperienced. Both are young and fools in love so the likelihood of him grooming her is low. And since it's under your nose, you can monitor and supervise.
But having her date an adult is a disaster waiting to happen. Because adult men whether 21 or 31 or 41 who go after teens always do so because they need someone to control or subtly manipulate. It never comes from a good place.
We've seen many cases of women who continued to stay in horrible or disrespectful situations and we come to excuse it with "he was her first love". "He was the first man that disvirgined her so you know that bond is thick".
That's not really the real reason. We all had our first love. We were not disvirgined by sticks. So why do these women find it hard to leave disrespectful or abusive situations?
Cos of grooming.
Cos somewhere during their adolescence, they were manipulated into believing this is how it's supposed to be.
When I read that Bimbo started dating that IVD guy at 14 while he was in his 20s or so, I immediately understood why she couldn't break free. It is what is it is. This is a girl who was giving her school fees to this man even as a teen. And he was collecting. So she didn't follow him because of money. She was groomed. And like most groomed women, it is almost impossible to detach in the future.
Just like Annie that started dating 2face when she was 15.
I remember when Annie gave an interview about how 2face proposed. They had broken up months abi a year ago and each person had moved on.
One day 2face (her ex) called her to come to a party. She came there. He surprised her with a proposal. An ex o. Wey you no dey follow talk for months abi years.
And she jumped up and said yes. Just. Like. That.
I shook my head ehn. See what grooming does? The man already knows that you'll be there waiting just because.
When that interview was published, insiders started saying 2face already did introduction with Sumbo and moved in with her. Sumbo moved out. Upon she had 2 sons for him then. Sumbo actually said this in her interview.
He proposed to Pero. Pero turned him down.
He now went to good old Annie that he broke up with kemgbe. Didn't even try to reconcile.

At 15/16, your daughter shouldn't be dating a 25 year old man no matter how good he is. It seldom ends well.
You need to be sharp. And once you find out, you need to go above and beyond to end it. Beating her or disciplining her will do little good.
If possible, move her away. Cos such bonds will not break just because you shouted or beat her.
If you can move her away to severe ties, do so. Cos once it comes to grooming, prevention is better than cure.
None is better, both young and adult have terrible impact on each other. You don't see how the ones you called young teach each others smoking like small tiger generator, they groom them to practice threesome, same sex, recorded sex which they in turn sell out to porn site(read Punch Newspaper investigation on teenage porn activities), any girl that refuses to practice what they show her is not ready to give her boyfriend joy or still a baby and made a laughing stock among her peers.
