I am writing to you this night from the place of pain and confusion, let me explain, some days ago I was returning from somewhere when this my neighbour (not so close) told me that I should go and settle marine world so that I can be free, this is not the first time I'm hearing something like this...

She went further to tell me that my husband left me for no particular reason, then the guy I had my last child too also left without any tangible reason and mind you that I have never sat with anyone to discuss anything about myself, infact my neighbours thinks I'm too proud hence my always minding my business, even my kids are never seen outside except they're going to school, once they get back, they're inside.
She also told me that it will be impossible for me to start a business and the business will thrive, that this water people will always scatter the business, she also said that it will be impossible for anyone to show me favour (But you Stella de favour me na), and so many other things she said, recently I wanted to start my garri business, I kept 40k for it, but I was told that I won't be allowed to sell even in my compound because of UNION PEOPLE, this woman promised to do the work for me even when I told her that I don't have any money to give her for now to do the work but when things change, I'll come back and appreciate her, now my problem is this, the bible said that "My Yoke Is Lighter"
Warri people said that when the devil give you cap, e go collect the head wey go wear the cap, the woman said I will be repeating the sacrifice, like I will always be taking things to the river so that my ways will be open, did I mention that this woman said she will take me to River Niger to bath me, I'm scared of the continous sacrifice and visits to the river, I don't want my kids to suffer the aftermath of my decisions in life, because my late mom did things like that, and now we the girls in my family are suffering it, more like we were dedicated to alters we know nothing about, I don't want my lovely kids to experience the same thing but Stella I AM TIRED!!
I am tired of the rejections, the humiliation, the suffering, the failures, I have never finished anything i started, it must flop one way or another, but I fear this new initiation, I don't want to start what I can't finish, it will hunt me forever, please I need your honest opinion and advice, what should I do? I really need some advice.
should I trust the process and wait on God to fix my life or run this shortcut and save myself from the shame and disgrace and then spend the rest of my life visiting river and carrying white pan?? Your opinion is needed.

DeleteDear poster, what's your mindset? What do you believe in? Do you fully and wholely believe that God can set you free? Do you believe that Jesus died and his blood was shed for your redemption? Do you believe that you can make it? I doubt you do, if you believed all these, you wouldn't be contemplating sacrificing to a marine dirty.
Build up your faith, pray to God, live a Christlike life, forget about dating and relationships first and focus on being saved. Ask God to reveal himself to you, ask him to help you and save you. Call him your provider, your redeemer, your healer, your chain breaker, your protector and ask him not to abandon you but be with you. Wait on God, he will deliver you. Trust him and he'll not fail you. God is capable of breaking every chain in your life but you must first trust in him completely. 100% true! One lady started her cone-ice cream , popcorn and zobo business from the primary section in our church! She made it so nice that kids were always looking forward to buying from her after church, the members thought it not correct to do business on Sabbath day and, in the premises of the most high hence they contributed for her to get a shop where she can stay and they employed her as head of entertainment for kids. As for things not moving well for you, you need to do a lot changing in your mindset, kind of friends you keep, kind of books you read, kind of neighbourhood you live and the kind of thoughts you think. Of course you know why your husband left and why you don't finish things you started. It's all about character and discipline. Check yourself; your temper, your humility, your capacity to love others, your generosity, your sincerity, how you see and talk to and about people and your depth of gratitude for what you have. It is impossible for life to deny it's best from she who truly gave it her best with love. Success and prosperity has nothing to do with religion/spirituality. The earthquake in Turkey killed 50k ppl, many were ppl who had amazing lives, but they still went tragically. No otherworldy entity can guarantee you anything. Once you start you will forever have to be in upkeep mode with them. Better to break the bondage your mother foolishly placed you under than tying down your own children into the same because you are "tired". Never get too tired in life to fight for your freedom. Fight against evil, because anything that is of love requires no sacrifice or bondage. Bondage is not of love, bondage is imprisonment and anything that demands your lifelong imprisonment is not of love. If your neighbour's life was so great under her banner then why is she living same place you are. She is no better than you for all her settlement that she has done for herself. ReplyDeleteAfrica is a humungous place. Some traditional religions are 100% beautiful and benign, nobody should push them to the side. However, there are those religions that are the complete opposite, and nobody should have any business with them.
DeleteI believe that Africa should never be allowed to become a majority Muslim continent, because of many reasons, those who know, know. Africans should fight to preserve traditional ways, but not every traditional way, some really should be tossed out.
On a side note, Christianity originated in Africa, and is an African religion. This is not a secret, but it is often not brought up for some reason. I get that the colonizers want to feel they enlightened Africans by bringing them Christianity, but it is Africa that enlightened them. Christianity became a shadow of itself once it left the shores of Africa. The Copts in Egypt and the Ethiopian Orthodox church continue to be steadfast in their adherence from those early days. Other smaller groups in different parts of the continent still practice in the old Christian ways. Africa is a very spiritually dynamic place, perhaps the most dynamic of all.
To clarify your comment, not all pastors go the traditional route! We still have real pastors who are truly born again and wants to make heaven at the end of their lives. This is why poster need to choose one. Traditional way or church route. Which gods hate evil??? They’re straight up from the devil. These same gods that will harm or hurt you if you try any crap with them or don’t fulfill your part. Poster Jesus is the only way period. I think you should change your environment and start afresh. Move out of that area please. Take time to yourself and figure out what you’re doing wrong and what changes you need to do within you. Write things down, ask for forgiveness of your sins and just pray for God to have mercy on you and turn things around for good. If you have support system like your family, they can watch/help you with your kids if they’re young and use that time to develop yourself and research. This is the time to really focus and discipline yourself. Also the country is tough right now, you’re not the only one going through tough times. Things are not easy in naija. Praying this new president will really get things done. Mean while, join a church(your spirit will tell you when you’re in the right church) and surround yourself with Christian’s like you and who knows, you may find someone who will link you up with a very good job opportunity or give you advise on a good business venture.
