Minister Of Women Affairs Uju Kennedy Apologises For Offensive Comment On Unical S3x Scandal

Mrs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, Minister of Women Affairs, says she regrets the comment credited to her in a viral video concerning the s#xual harassment scandal at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) in Cross River.

The declaration comes as a response to recent public discussions and reactions by concerned Nigerians regarding the unfolding situation at the institution involving Prof. Cyril Ndifon, Dean of the Faculty of Law and the s#xual harassment allegations levelled against him.

Kennedy-Ohanenye, in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, said

“I wish to express my sincere apologies to those who were offended by my comments and actions regarding the sexual harassment scandal at the University of Calabar.
“This is extremely regrettable, as my intentions were sincere and aligned with my consistent advocacy for the welfare of Nigerian women and the pursuit of justice.
“I stand for all Nigerian women and I stand for justice and it is my hope that we can work together to actualise the dream of a country where women’s rights are respected and protected and where our daughters feel safe in institutions of learning,” she said.

  1. The irony!
A so called minister for women, protecting a sexual harasser 🤮
You’re only apologizing because you got caught!

    1. Honestly.

So many enablers of crimes and immorality being rewarded with power.

    2. This is the same woman who strongly recommended that children should go to school for four days and then WORK IN PRODUCTION LINES (factories) for one day. She is a disgrace to womanhood, motherhood and the Ministerial Office in Nigeria.

    3. Definitely in the wrong ministry. Consistent my foot!

  2. People with questionable characters in the helms of affair in this country.

    I'm not surprised though.

  3. Hmmmmmmm, you people at the top should learn how to sensor whatever you're putting out into the public to avoid embarrassment.

But we don know your stand don't try to bobo us

  4. First you suggested child 🚸 labour.

Secondly, your comment supported sexual harassment earlier before you apology.

This woman Mrs Uju is a mother and a barrister ooooo.

Minister, you just showed us how you've been abusing your office since you were sworn in and I hope you honourably resign cos you will still continue to gulf and in due time your principal can take your excuses and will sack you.

You've no idea of the ministry and the position you held or you are showing us, that's who you are in reality.

I pity her domestic staff, especially her P.A, cook and chef.

  5. Minister of women affairs indeed.
    It is well........

  6. I hope she sleeps well at night with all power drunk attitude she been displaying.

  7. Round pegs in square holes.
    They've started again.

    1. I agree with you! She shouldn't be in that position!
