'I don't know if this is the right spot to post this but since it says sunday laughs, and I am filled with so much joy, I want to express my joy here. My neighbor had her twins yesterday at 27 weeks. The doctors advised that they were going to stop the heartbeat of one of the twins at 19 weeks because that twin wasn't gaining weight as expected and there was intermittent blood flow to the baby. They already gave a deadline for her to come so they would stop the heartbeat to allow the other twin grow well and there could be severe complications if they didn't stop it. I thank God for doctors, but our God is the master of all.
We prayed to God, and called on the name of Jesus christ. God sustained the twins. They are stable and doing fine. God is great. I talk about Him everywhere I go.

So my landlord died march last year, few weeks after I lost my dad, he was buried a week after my day, last month made it one year my former landlord passed away, early this year my landlady increase the money for pumping water as it is only their flat that can pump water, note day she doesn't use her gene to pump water only light, . So just yesterday she gave everyone a notice of rent and sanitation increments, only for her to bring food and drink for us today, say she dey celebrate her birthday. Me am not eating that food''.

Ehen, make I share a little throwback even though say today no be Thursday. I was in the salon taking a nice hair cut as to look sharp when I remembered what I'm about to share now. I bursted out laughing and the barber might be wondering what is wrong with this guy.
Now let me share what made me to laugh.
When I started commenting on this blog around 2018, I was very bad as in terrible in the usage of my tenses and sentence constructions. Not that I'm perfect now but at least I'm better now and improved. I will rate myself 85%💪 and I will say I'm still learning and open for corrections and more learning.

I saw something in the hands of Bvs I swear. Eka Joy did me dirty I no go lie. She followed my gbagaun bomber to bomber. Mama Nnukwu didn't spare me eeeh abi na Mrs Sharom always laughing.
One bv told me her 5yrs niece will be so disappointed at me seeing my writings. Let me not even mention D'royalty and her kwakwakwa laugh beneath me.
Mehn, it was all cruise on the blog at the expense of my mental health. But it was all for good.
I saw shege and whenever I wanted to publish a comment, I will have this fear that these persons will attack me again as usual. I became a constant feature in Wednesday laugh column and SDK bvs meme.
When all these were happening, Stella noticed it was getting to me. So when I decided to do more of writing and asked her for a column inside IHN. She obliged. Even my piece were filled with gbagaun but Stella will edit and correct them for me and publish. There was once I sent to her and the gbagauns were way too much. She shouted and said no no no. This is too much. I felt ashamed. She later reached out to me and encouraged me not to stop writing but I should go online and take lessons so as to improve myself.
I did just that and I began seeing where I was getting things wrong. At this point, I will give it to everyone who corrected me at the comment section at one point or the other. I learned so much from the pointers and corrections even though most of them were filled with mockery and ridicule.
I feel so glad and excited I improved and learned so much from people's knowledge here. I give it to Stella and the few genuine bvs who wanted to see me do well. Those who wanted to see me leave by constantly ridiculing me, I'm sorry I disappointed you guys😂😂😂 I built myself from the stones thrown at me.
Abeg you guys should keep correcting me ooo. I really appreciate it. I'm a fast learner you know. Make God bless me I go do better giveaway here that will shake this blog.

Finally built a fence and mounted a gate in front of my family house in Ikorodu. I can’t explain the kind of joy I felt when I was shown videos. Literally cried tears of joy. I remember when we moved inside that house from our face me, I slap you, room and parlor apartment. I remember telling my dad (I was in year 1, I think, then) that nothing will ever make me live in that kind of house and he told me I could stay back in our previous house if I can be paying the rent there.
ReplyDeleteThat’s how we moved into an ‘uncompleted’ building. Only the living room was fully complete and one other room. The rest we had to use ‘pako’ to block the windows. Gradually sha, it sha developed to the low budget house that it is today. lol.
If anyone had told me that house will eventually get fenced, I’m sure I would have laughed at such a joker but today, it’s been fenced with a ‘beautiful’ gate.
My mum can’t stop thanking and praying for my husband. She actually says she’s grateful for the kind of husband I married because not every man will be okay with the kind of money I send back home for projects (that don’t even belong to me) every now and then. My husband thinks it’s ‘bullcrap’ because what kind of man will have a problem with what his wife does with her personal money.
I’m sha overjoyed. Despite all my many complaints with the way the thing was draining me (with unbudgeted expenses), I’m too happy and have no regrets about the amount I’ve spent fencing a 60 by 120 land by myself (kai, I have small change sha 😂)
Can’t wait to come and celebrate my other project I am doing for them. A building that has reached roofing level. The day I roof that building ehn (e cost die), y’all will not hear word here oh 😂

Being a single mom doesn't necessarily make you vulnerable
What makes you vulnerable is your poor value system
If you don't have self esteem, and do not know your worth or what you want, you'll continue to fall prey to devourers.
One good way to start is to never pity yourself...if you allow self pity consume you just because you're a single mom, then you'll make yourself vulnerable. Single motherhood is not a disease or stigma.
Work hard, focus on your child(ren) and make the most of your liberty/freedom.
Don't devalue yourself...and don't fall for pressure.
In the end, men actually respect disciplined women who have dignity.
