Ibadan Heats Up In Protest As Student Headed For His WAEC Exam Dies From Stray Bullet

A student on his way to write his WAEC exam was killed by a stray bullet allegedly fired by a policeman in Ibadan. The policeman was reportedly chasing a suspect when he fired the bullet that hit the student. The victim was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The incident sparked a protest, with youths taking the student's body to the Oyo State Government Secretariat to demand action from Governor Seyi Makinde.

Comrade Yemi Ezekiel Bello condemned the killing, urging the Inspector General of Police to investigate, and noted that according to reports, the officers acted unprofessionally, adding that the student's father had been caring for him and his sibling alone since their mother left seven years ago.

The police officer should be killed slowly till life comes out from him, in full glare of his colleagues to serve as a lesson to them.

  19. May the soul of the departed rest in peace.

The boy's father and the police officer are both culpable. The two of them share the blame for the death of this young man.

See the way the father was driving so roughly knowing that he has a child inside the car. He didn't care if he will even hit anybody around
