The incident sparked a protest, with youths taking the student's body to the Oyo State Government Secretariat to demand action from Governor Seyi Makinde.
Comrade Yemi Ezekiel Bello condemned the killing, urging the Inspector General of Police to investigate, and noted that according to reports, the officers acted unprofessionally, adding that the student's father had been caring for him and his sibling alone since their mother left seven years ago.

I am just so pained..... Using gun recklessly, I am heart broken to say the least. How will the parents continue with their lives.... I am so saddened 😭.
