She said:
" you see all those people that are always having inferiority complex, thinking almost everyone here is rich. Most people here are broke, I tell you the truth. Infact, the most broke people is actually the people in this UK everyone is holding themselves. It is expensive as f*ck.
So, when you see all those videos people are saying, aaaaah you are asking me for money, is it not just one hundred dollars? trust me when I tell you, the living situation in this country isn't rosy. Infact, most people in Nigeria are living better off than people actually living here.
So, if you want to move it is fine go ahead and move but then don't move with the mindset of oh it's all rosy, it is sweet it is interesting it's money. You are going to be burning 300k on a freaking taxi in a freaking day. Spending one million on cars in a freaking week unless you want to use the trains. That will be it, think about your decision. Two months in London and I must say, it isn't as rosy as everyone else is saying"
She should shut up! Ghetto person that managed to travel.
ReplyDeleteThere are challenges everywhere. She was probably looking for someone to spend stupidly on her and she no see.
You can't compare the standard of living in UK to Nigeria at all!
Is it not her personal experience that she shared? Calm down please , I don't understand where your bitterness is coming from. You can disagree without sounding bitter,, since she didn't first abuse you.
DeleteIt's not rosy but you're still there. How do you fund your lifestyle?
ReplyDeleteStop converting the naira to pounds and you’ll be fine.
ReplyDeleteErrrrrm, don’t convert it, it ain’t the same madam! Although what u say is true, if you don’t have a white collar job or handwork, it’s gon be really tough! Unless u dey run “Ike”, God help us!..
ReplyDeleteKelvin Dat Edo Boi (Stellz Cousin)
Whoever said life is cheap in the UK?
ReplyDeleteNever heard anyone say that instead, I've heard people say that you'd need to work hard before you'll make it there.
Who takes taxi in the UK 🇬🇧 instead of buses and trains. Even the rich go on the train. Let her be forming big girl now, body go tell am.
ReplyDeleteDon't mind her see her saying 'unless you want to enter train' is entering train a bad thing?
DeleteWerey don carry that Nigerian classist mentality go abroad con dey feel say entering train is beneath her
Baby gurl, ejiekwenu ula atunyelu onwu.😎
ReplyDeleteTacha, if u work in the uk you'd survive and leave well. Compare to homeland where alot of people are working really hard and still beg God for survival. No matter how u work, it still looks as if one is not even doing anything.
ReplyDeleteTo each it's own. 🙄🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteTo each his own*
DeleteIf this country will pay us a living wage for all the hard work we do here, do you think anyone will japa? most Nigerians work so hard here but get paid peanuts, but in the Youkay, you are sure of what you are earning, and not this one, we are hearing 70k and still we still no see am
ReplyDelete70k for what? Abeg enlighten me
DeleteAnon, 70k as minimum wage but most states are still paying the former minimum wage 30k.
DeleteConverting £ to naira (side eyes @Stella) isn't advisable, you're in a country that its system is different from yours, its standard of living is far better than your country's. You better focus on the bright side and work hard.
ReplyDeleteIt's not rosy anywhere.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are living comfortable in Nigeria you may not have that desire to live abroad even though the standard of living over there can't be compared .
All is by grace not by power or speaking grammar.
You should compare other things too though, it ain't easy anywhere
ReplyDeleteTacha is just too ignorant. I prefer constant light, easy public transport facilities, relatively free health care and education for my kids up to secondary school to living in Naija as the average person that I am. I also like that even with racism, I know the possibility is there to rise without god fatherism and long leg. She is free to leave anytime and go find a rich oga to fund her lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteThen start jumping train or bus leave us alone, everytime life in the UK is expensive bla bla bla..come back to Niger you no come back..
ReplyDeleteLiving in Nigeria is better for most people honestly
ReplyDeleteJust the social network is good
Children do tend to thrive abroad so parents make the sacrifice but life in Nigeria is easier for most people
You will never see Otedola’s children giving us japa advice, it’s always those from poor families giving unsolicited advice.
ReplyDeleteWhen they realize there are no mugu's dishing out free cash in the UK, they turn around and call everyone broke.... You go dey alright...
ReplyDeleteThe truth is that Nigeria is one of the most affordable countries in the world to live in. The problem is that many ppl are unemployed or do not have good paying jobs. Even many African countries are way more expensive than Nigeria. When Nigerians understand that they are blessed in many ways they would reset their minds quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe are truly blessed in this country but are our funds are being mismanaged
