The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, lowering it from N880 to N840 per litre. The adjustment was confirmed on Monday night by the Group’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina. Chiejina said, “PMS price has been reduced from N880 to N840 per litre effective 30th June.”

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has scheduled July 24 for a crucial National Executive Council, NEC, meeting to nominate a new national chairman. The meeting follows the resignation of former chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje last Friday.

It was a black Saturday for Abdullahi Idris, a father of six and herder who lost about 32 cows to lightning strikes recently in Osara, a village in Obantoko area of Abeokuta, in the Odeda Local Government area of Ogun State.

It all started with the dark cloud, and then moved to the continuous whistle of the wind. To everyone, it was a normal rainfall, especially since it’s a wet season.

Sadly, it became a tragedy as 32 big cows worth over N32 million were stuck dead by thunderstorms at about 12 p.m.

A man believed to be a pastor, and a woman said to be married, were subjected to public humiliation in the Iguomon community, located on the outskirts of Benin City, Edo State, over allegations of infidelity.

A video capturing the disturbing incident went viral on Monday, showing the pair being stripped and mocked by a mob.

Eyewitnesses recount that the man had allegedly been involved in an extramarital affair with the woman before they were caught in a compromising situation.

According to reports, a group of irate youths forcibly removed the man from a residence, stripped him completely, and forced him to sit on the ground. The woman was also pulled out, ridiculed, and eventually stripped naked by a female member of the crowd.

The scene drew a sizable number of onlookers, some of whom filmed the incident with their phones.
