The Ibrahim Babangida Media Office in Minna described the letter circulating online as fake and politically motivated.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of twelve Commissioners of Police (CP) to the next rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIG). The Commission also approved the promotion of 16 Deputy Commissioners to substantive Commissioners and 27 Assistant Commissioners to Deputy Commissioners.

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has granted an interim order freezing bank accounts belonging to TAK Logistics Limited, TAK Agro Plc, and their director, Thomas Akoh Etuh. The court barred them from accessing funds, shares, dividends, or other financial instruments up to ₦24,934,741,718.91 “standing to their credit in any account maintained with any bank or financial institution.”

Retired police officers stormed the streets nationwide on Monday, protesting poor pension and other living conditions. Aside from Abuja, the protest took place simultaneously in Edo, Plateau, Kwara, Taraba, and Cross River states, among others.

The police in Edo State said they have arrested no fewer than 175 suspects involved in various crimes across the three senatorial districts of the state. The Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, during a press conference, said 124 of the suspects were arrested for cultism, 40 for kidnapping, while 11 were apprehended for armed robbery and other violent crimes.

The Federal Government has revealed that over 730 individuals have been convicted for terrorism-related offences, as part of its intensified efforts to exit the terror financing watchlist. The National Coordinator, National Counter Terrorism Centre, Maj. Gen. Adamu Laka, disclosed this at the on-site meeting of the Financial Action Task Force in Abuja on Monday.
