MADAM AMEBO CORNER

About two guys came to my area to steal, they stole a big generator but they were caught, cos it was difficult for them to carry..

They tied them up, so one of them started crying, they asked him why he was crying, he said his new wife had just put to birth but he hasn't seen the girl nor the child...

We asked him why,He said he didn't marry the girl, that they were cohabitating then she got pregnant and when she was due to deliver, her family came and took her to her parents house, he said he loves the girl a lot so he decided to start stealing just to raise money and marry her so he can at least see the child, they asked him what he had stolen before, he said the generator was his first...

The second guy said, even if they want to kpaii him that they should please give him food cos he was very hungry, he said the other guy used to buy him food and smoke when he was doing business but lost his business to thieves who attacked their vehicle and collected everything from them on his way to Lagos, so when he came to him to help him with his plans to steal a few things to raise money, he had no other option than to follow him cos he promised to give him something after their operation...

He said he only goes around to beg people for things just to eat that he doesn't steal, the other guy confirmed it.

They asked the chief thief the kind of business he does, he said he owned a portion where he sells men's wares in one popular market, someone volunteered his vehicle to go and verify...

He came back and  it was true, that everyone around there knew him, they even told them about that incident that pushed him into drinking and stealing, he was robbed, he lost everything, the small goods he had left, he sold them and then his woman became sick cos she was almost due, but they stopped seeing him after sometime cos they sold his portion to someone else.....

So when they came back, they asked the man what he wanted, he said he has no roof over his head and he wants to see his woman and his child, that he promised his woman that he will come and take them home soon and she's waiting...

Stella this men started donating, all the men in this plaza, the people that brought cars for repair, someone (a popular Facebook content creator) gave him a million naira, this man gathered nothing less than 3 million plus that day...

They rented a small affordable room for him, followed him to go and marry his wife in a small way, bought container for him to start his business in this plaza for close monitoring, they even did the normal ritual for a new father for him on Saturday, I was watching it from upstairs, it was so much fun, they fixed the man up and made him a man again.

It's okay to ask for help, it's okay to beg for it but please do not steal, this man was lucky but others may not be...
The other day I saw him praising God while displaying his wares, the grace of God is heavy on that man cos this my area too like jungle justice, e for no good, there is dignity in labor, the downfall of a man is not the end of his life, na small time e go take, if "is" no work, abeg try "was" e go work but don't take anything that doesn't belong to you, stealing no good, you can be using the money to solve problems but you have put your victim in serious problems too... May God send our helpers quick

    Please o, I want to ask;
    1. How many days did all of these happen? A day or two?
    2. You were "watching it from upstairs" and knew "the man gathered nothing less than 3million"?
    Isokay.
I do not want to "puncture holes in her story" as some of you might want to say, but, what I know is, for a while now, some stories haven't been adding up.

  5. One sided story. The was a similar story I know of.Both family members called the man to stop meeting his wife because of her health conditions and the man agreed yet the wife will come to disturb the Man and kept blackmailing him that he has is seeing someone else and she is still young and nothing wrong with her

  6. What is the guarantee that he will not go back to his stealing ways when things become hard in future?
Reason I asked is because this life is filled with ups and downs. When things are hard, the will to persevere and push forward without dipping your hands in evil things is a rare gift.
