Imo State Gov. Uzodinma Rescues Widow Ordered To Drink Water Used To Bathe Husband's Corpse

In Awo-Omamma, Imo State, a widow Chika Ndubuisi was subjected to a cruel ritual and forced to drink water used to bathe her late husband’s corpse.
The act, rooted in outdated customs, sparked public outrage and caught the attention of the state governor Hope Uzodinma....

Governor Hope Uzodinma immediately condemned the practice and ordered the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare Led by Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu to quickly intervene...
The ministry quickly intervened and rescued Mrs. Chika Ndubuisi and her children and assured the public that those responsible for the shocking act would face justice.

    1. Honestly, I don't know. Such nasty traditions are only carried out when it involves the poor.
A young lady just lost her husband, has two toddlers to look after, that one nor pain them. Those involved should.be dealt with seriously.

    2. When a man dies it's the wife that automatically killed him, so when a woman dies, who automatically killed her?

    1. Nine times out of ten it is women who uphold barbaric cultural traditions. Who is cutting off young girls clitoris and labias? women! Who is encouraging their sons, brothers, uncles and nephews to go get second wives if first wife hasn’t birth a child since marriage? Women!

Like I stated on a different post, my brain is not set up for cultural practices that make no sense to me, that includes eating nasty foods and doing bullshyt practices-even in my own culture.
