Billionaire's Wife Cries Out Over Alleged Abandonment

What could she have done to him? This is sad!

‎The wife of billionaire businessman and AA Oil CEO, Aliyu Abubakar, has cried out over alleged abandonment and restrictions in her marriage, revealing she cannot leave the country without his consent.

‎“He said he would block me if I make contact to him, I can’t leave the country with my children without his permission,” she said, pleading with the businessman to “at least let me go to my country, my family will still support me to raise these children,” but he reportedly refused to respond.

‎She recounted visiting his Abuja mansions just to see him. “I used to go look for him and stand at the gate because the security would not let me in. He came later on and saw me, then shouted at the security to close the door and kick me out, then I left. There was no way for me to contact him,” she said.

‎The distraught mother also described how her children once battled severe health issues. “There was infection in their lungs, already the kids have asthma and if they don’t get admitted on time, they can l%se their life. I was begging him and trying to send him text and he won’t respond,” she revealed.

‎“There was a time they contacted me from the kids’ school that they will be sacked if fees aren’t paid. They were out of school for one year plus and he didn’t care,” she said.

‎She also recalled when “my own child that he adopted was sick and having issues with his lungs… we called him and even asked the twins to talk to him and he said your mother should take care of him.”

‎“I’m here alone in this country, I’m seeking help. Now he wants to vacate me from this house. They sent me a letter saying he will no longer pay rent and I must leave by 10 of December,” she lamented.

‎“My twins don’t know him, they don’t even know what he looks like.they sent him message saying dad we love you, if you send us out we don’t have place to live. He told them to follow me then,” she said.

  1. Her story is as bizarre as they come. Apparently, her first husband a Lebanese, SOLD her and their 4 kids to her current Nigeria husband for 1 million dollars. You read that right.

    1. They USE women , women are objects to exploit for sex, their wombs, labour and resources then they discard they are predatory men who weaponise their resources to financially abuse those women and make them vulnerable.

    2. This is why I will fight for girls to be educated. Through education and hard work a woman’s survival is not tied to a man whose love can blow like a leave in the wind, she can survived. Too many women suffered like this in the past through wife abandonment and no ability to work, the yokes of poverty sent them to an early grave.

    2. Anybody can walk away from a marriage if they do not like being married to that person, but it takes a special kind of evil to put children on the streets and to let your family hunger for lack of what to eat, children getting ill and leaving them at the mercy of the world. The children did not sign up to be illtreated. If what she stated is true that man has a stone cold heart. Envy no one!

    3. It is even more worse seeing the person in question is described as a billionaire.

  7. This serves all these alatenuje (trophy) wives. The old men know they came for the money so will ruthlessly deal with them, after the initial "honeymoon". I have no pity for the women, only the innocent kids in the middle

  11. It’s such a messy and painful story, honestly. From what’s been shared, Suhair’s life took a sharp turn the moment she crossed paths with Aliyu Abubakar. She was a young Lebanese woman already married to a Lebanese man, Ali Chawki El Cheikh, with whom she had four children when he came into the picture. Before long her world shifted - a sudden divorce, whispers of a million-dollar deal, and four children whose names were changed to match his.

They married around 2014 and had twins together, but whatever started with promise soon crumbled. Now she says she’s been abandoned with six children, struggling to survive while eviction letters arrive from his company on the 10th of October 2025. A Notice to Vacate their Abuja home, a Maitama apartment, by 10 December 2025, citing tenancy expiration on 30 September 2025, sparked public outrage after she went to the media.

By 2024–2025, the marriage had collapsed. Suhair alleges that Aliyu became distant, stopped providing support, and ultimately abandoned her and the six children. She accuses him of psychological abuse and of later engaging in an inappropriate relationship with one of her daughters - an accusation he strongly denies.

In fact, he denies it all, insists he’s supported her and that she turned hostile. Somewhere between both accounts lies the truth - tangled in power, pride, and silence.

For me, this isn’t just gossip, it’s another reminder of how easily love and dependence can turn to control. A woman uprooted, children caught between two worlds, and a man whose money can buy almost everything except peace. It's a common narrative.

  14. Some of us seem to hate rich wives so much. This is an excerpt from the original story: 'Forced Marriage and Arrival in Nigeria’

According to her, she was forced into marriage at the age of 15 to a Lebanese man, Ali Chawki El Cheikh, who later brought her to Nigeria, where they lived quietly until she met the Nigerian businessman through her husband.

“My name is Suhair Aliyu, and I came to Nigeria with my ex-husband, Ali Chawki El Cheikh. We got married in Lebanon. We are both Lebanese. He got married to me when I was very young, around 15 years old. This made me dependent on him for survival,” she told SaharaReporters.

“When we arrived in Nigeria, I barely went out. I did not even know anywhere in Nigeria. He was a building decorator, and one day he told me he would take me to a place where he worked. I went there with my four children. That was where I first met Aliyu Abubakar, a man I had never seen before.” Note she was married at 15, brought to a country she doesn't know , was not allowed to go out. If you know how these men control their wives, you will be shocked. What can she really do in a patriarchal society, a foreigner who is care is not taken, has no travel documents. Even their families are at times in on it and support these traditions. Hopefully with social media she will get some assistance. How are we not sure she was not bought from her family also. Northern men like beautiful, Arabic looking women so i am not surprised at such a transaction. Maybe he even owed Abubakar money and selling the wife was a get out of jail card afterall he can marry someone else. Let me just stop here.
