UK Based Nigerian Woman Says She Was Reported For Singing Too Loud During Hallelujah Challenge

A Nigerian woman living in the UK said her neighbour reported her to the council for making noise during the Hallelujah Challenge.

The council’s letter said they received a complaint about “loud singing after midnight” and that they have a duty to investigate.
It also stated that while this is a first complaint doesn’t mean they agree or disagree, if more complaints come in, an officer may visit to check for noise nuisance. The letter was signed by the Pollution Control Officer.

This has nothing to do with Hallelujah challenge..
I would report anyone disturbing my peace at that time too.....You can praise God without noise and praise him loud in the right environment at the right time!

  4. I don't know why some preachers will tell worshippers to shout at the top of their voice. Bible says, his ears are not heavy to hear us,so even in our whispers, he hears us.

When I was in Unilorin, 100l, a giant mosque behind my house will wake me 5pm daily with the prayer cry, this act of theirs gave me constant headache for weeks. Although I got used to it after a while, but the damage it caused...

I wish they can do such in Nigeria. One of my neighbors will be praying and speaking in tongues loudly at midnight, disturbing other people in the building.

    2. And the worst part about it is that, they will tag you as ogbanje, witch or demon if you confront them, they can even use you for testimony in church, that while they were praying, the person was in discomfort, that's why they confronted you when they couldn't endure the pain again from Holy Ghost fire, most of Nigeria Christians dey always wow me.

    3. Grateful Soul..you get it with that demon tag..growing up my house was beside an uncompleted building that was being used as church..this pastor's congregation no reach 15 people o..he would sometimes invite us for programs and we'll go..only for him to suddenly start doing vigil almost everyday of the week..he will carry megaphone and be shouting..my parents had trouble sleeping then, once this man starts like this..no sleep for us as our bedroom window was facing the church..when my parents went to complain he started carrying face and shading them in his prayers..he continued disturbing until the church finally moved..it was a traumatic experience for us.

    1. Real followers of Christ know this. Christ told his followers to go into their closets and pray to God quietly. He rebuked those who came with displayed public worship while being devils in private. I believe Paul also told Christians not to make their worship be a burden to others. Why anyone would want to do such at midnight is beyond me.

How much shouting can humans do to make God physically hear them in heaven? Do they know the distance between the planets in our solar system, do they know how remote our solar system is in universe? Shouting to God is useless because heaven and earth are extremely far apart. No point bursting your throat for something that is impossible to achieve.

  19. We don't need to disturb others because we want to praise God, even your immediate family.
It is strictly between you and God.

There is a church near my house - you need to live in my neighborhood to hear they way they blare music on Sunday afternoon when someone need rest. I even told my husband that if I complain now, they will say I am a Christian.

Lagos State is trying about this too - but this yeye Ogun State with Eleyi Governor anything goes.

  20. Admin, thanks a million for your red pen 🖋️ response. Infact, you took the words out of my mouth right there...

    People be doing toooooomuch!
My roommate in Final Year Block, Queen Idia Hall, The University of Ibadan, tried it with me:
This girl was always playing loud 📢🔊 music at odd hours to disturb my sanity (in the name of christians music).

After asking her several times to make use of her earpiece and she refused (asking me if I am not a christian). She left me with no other option than to change it for her...

Knowing fully well that she doesn't like to hear secular music🎵🎶, l went and bought secular music CDs because of her. Anytime she disturbed my sleep at midnight, I would get up and slut in secular music CD into my laptop 💻 and raise the volume to the highest level.

The next thing she did was to beg me that we hold roommates "peace 🕊️ meeting" for dialogue... And that was the end of her midnight music without earpiece 🎧...

Had one neighbour in school that liked to form Mother Theresa, always attending church. Early hours in the morning she would sing Christian songs very loudly to disturb others. I confronted her in case she didn't know, and she still continued. I realized that her Christianity was just for show. She was a selfish and inconsiderate person.

  28. They should have deported the idiot back to her shithole Nigeria to continue to constitute nuisance

  29. She thinks she is in Nigeria where there are no consequences for anything. Churches and mosques are soundproof in saner climes. Even her posting this letter is content for likes. May God help us all to understand what true spirituality is and stop parading Christianity for content and views. God is not deaf. I do HC in my room, and I don't shout down the house or disturb neighbours, does God hear and answer my prayers? YES!!!
