The marriage brought them both fame, visibility and more money. Regina really helped in painting him as a sweet loving spouse with well curated social media photos. He won the campaign while she smiled to the bank as an influencer. Her following massively grew. I definitely don't think he was broke but I believe she could afford to donate $50K cos she got richer after the marriage. If Jaruma had to pay her 10million just for 6 months influencing gig, calculate other gigs she got, featured in Flavours video etc. Even celebs will be dashing her good will money as some of them do - they just give you money as investment for their own future selfish needs...

ReplyDeleteI could buy the love angle if he was one longtime widower who met her organically and something sparked. I honestly could, because sometimes love blooms from the least expected places. Theirs was completely the opposite. No young woman should ever be placed in such a position at the tender age of 18, there is a world to explore and time to grow and understand who you are. Being shackled to a man almost three times your age who already has multiple wives and children is an ugly place to be. And no good man will accept such, they will understand that someone so young doesn’t need marriage, they need an education and to go off to university like their peers and learn about life and the world and grow into her womanhood.

Trading your youthful years for a man who has a body count as big as Aso rock is not a flex. One young man from a good and decent family who is ambitious and intentional about life could have given even more materially if you don’t want to work, but most importantly peace. Even one established 30 or 35 years old never married man. But who knows how far having a career through education could have taken, maybe through your own hard work you could have created something that brings perpetual wealth and your siblings would not be wasting critical years but focused achievers. Why settle when you are so young, beautiful and have a recognizable name? Why ever settle at any age.
